26 Weeks Pregnant Picture

26 Weeks Pregnant Update

Okay, for starters....I do not know why my belly grows 2x the actual size right before I take these bump update pictures! In person there are mornings where it looks way small (I will post pics at the bottom of this post) and then there are times like this where I look like I am ready to deliver! Pregnancy is so weird! This little one is growing quickly though and I can definitely tell!

How far along: I am 26 weeks and 6 days pregnant in the picture, tomorrow I will be 27 weeks and entering into the third trimester! I know I waited forever to take the picture this week again...

Symptoms: Peeing, peeing and more peeing; Braxton Hicks have been happening for a while I figured out. I thought it was just her tightening into a little ball, turns out it is Braxton Hicks so I have been experiencing a lot more of those; I have had pain on and off in my abs because of the abdominal separation so that kind of got worse this week; Back pain every now and then; Boobs still leaking; Exhausted...I do not sleep at night

Cravings: None at all really. I haven't had much of an appetite.

Aversions: No real aversions either....

Wedding rings: On

Sleep: None...I sometimes can doze off and take a nap once during the week, but for the most part sleep isn't really happening for me. It is really hard to get comfortable and when I do get comfortable she is twirling and turning all around in there. Once I fall asleep, I have to get up and pee...then I doze off and my hip hurts haha it is a never ending cycle...

Excited for: Meeting her. I am getting so close to the end that all I wanna do is see her & see what she looks like. I keep having dreams of what she will look like and how she will be, at this point all I wanna do is see her!

Missing: Fitting into clothes comfortably and sleep...yeah I would like to sleep again, but I don't think that will be happening for maybe, the rest of her baby years haha

Movement:  YES. SHE WILL NOT QUIT. I am pretty sure this little one is supposed to be sleeping majority of the day, but that does not seem to be the case. Zack thinks she is just an aggressive sleeper. Must take after her daddy...when I sleep I can normally fall asleep in one spot and barely move all night, however, Zack will burrito himself with the sheets and curl up into a little ball...I have a feeling that her sleep habits are the same as his. She kicks and twirls and punches and jumps ALL DAY, it is often really funny and entertaining until she kicks my bladder...

Dr. update: Glucose test coming up!

Exercise: Doing something active every day still...whether it be running/walking, walking Oak multiple times a day or just getting on the eliptical machine I am really making an effort to continue working out every day

Stretch marks: Nope.

Swelling: After working out, if hands are down by my sides, that is about the only time though.

Maternity clothes: None yet, still postponing until I can't any longer...

Labor signs: Nope!

What I am loving: Knowing that she is hanging out with me all the time & slowly buying her baby clothes!

Best moment of this week:  Buying her some baby clothes, I was having emotional breakdowns thinking she was going to come home from being born and have to be naked because I didn't have anything for her, haha so now I am slowly stocking up!

Here are some morning ones, excuse the jammies, exhausted face and bed-head, also, we are still at my Dad's house so that is why the background is still his bachelor pad haha....

Snippets From the Last Week or So

Here are just a few pictures from the last week and a half or so....just some fitness, food, and random ones.

Fitness: These are just a few of the workout results from the past week or so, it is more for my benefit having them on here so I can look back and see where I was at during a certain time in my pregnancy.

Food and Yummies: Here are a couple random shots of some yummy food we have made, eaten, and bought over the last week or so. In no particular order...

Coffee date with my man!

These kabobs were so good! I am going to be putting the recipe on here soon. They were amazing and super easy to make!

Smoothies for lunch!

I was really craving an iced coffee and so Zack made sure it happened ;)

Breakfast!

We weren't to hungry one night so we decided to get Banzai Bowls for dinner. SO good, they are amazing.

Random Ones: A few random pictures from the last week or so...

I have been burnt out on the scent of my homemade cocoa butter stretch mark cream so I made a mango coconut one and it smells amazing. Zack loves the smell too and it has definitely been a nice break from the chocolatey scent I have been using for the past 6 months! It goes on so smoothly and sinks into the skin right away. I love it!

Snuggling up with my giant polar bear cuddle bug.

Date night for Zack and I :)

So these pictures are kinda for myself to see what I was up to during a certain time in my pregnancy. It will be interesting to look back and see what we did and be able to tell our little girl everything we did while she was cooking in there!

Snippets From This Week

Tuesday, my mom and I went to the LA shopping district to shop for clothes for her boutique. My back was bothering me pretty badly and we were starving all day, but it was fun and we enjoyed hanging out and we grabbed quite a few great pieces for her store. This is just a picture leaving the LA market and heading home after a long, long day.

Wednesday, Zack and I had a mid-week date and went on a walk around the Dana Point harbor and got ice cream that we BOTH had been craving for about two months now! We love the bubblegum ice cream they have at the ice cream shop there so we figured we would cave this one day and go grab one and walk around. Of course we had our white furry child with us.

Thursday, Oak and I went on a nice morning walk like we typically do every morning. I had to take a break on Saturday this week because my back is in so much pain. I think it is from my workout shoes + the growing babe so my lower back is just kinda thrown off. I see a pregnancy chiropractor on Tuesday around noon. Hopefully that does the trick! However, it was a gorgeous morning! We have been having consistently great weather which means better workouts for me!

Yesterday (Saturday), we went to the beach with our family from Utah, it was their last full day here. It went by so quickly and we all wanted to squeeze in one last beach day before they left. We had gone a few days during their visit and it has been so relaxing with such great beach days. Instead of going to a beach in San Clemente like we usually do and had originally wanted to do, we opted for a much less crowded Salt Creek in Dana Point. We got there early in the day and stayed until almost 7PM. It was gorgeous out and we were soaking up the last bit of beach sun with them before they head home to Utah this afternoon.

I hope you all had a wonderful week with great people! Enjoy relaxing summer weekends, they are the best!

What We've Been Up To Lately in Pictures

There hasn't been too much going on over the past week other than a few things here and there. We have mostly just been working and cleaning and more house hopping between families, so here are just a few pictures I have gathered together to share with you guys!

We went on a hike earlier this weekend with Kellie and Ryder up to the water tower near Zack's parents house. It was hot and I think Oak might've been the only one struggling towards the end. It really wasn't a long hike and I didn't burn many calories, but it was fun getting out and walking with the fam bam.

After a long walk with the pup early in the morning Zack and I picked up some Banzai Bowls for breakfast one morning this week, so freaking good.

They have options of a large and a small and the small was a struggle to finish! So much fruit, but so so good!

Baby and I definitely deserved that Banzai Bowl!

My brother gets his license in August, even though he turned 16 on the 30th, just how the DMV works when signing up I guess. I have never driven with him before and I was terrified as we were leaving the driveway at my mom's house. He was intentionally trying to scare me too haha, but I have to say he is an extremely good driver and very cautious, you're all safe! We went out to lunch just him and I for his birthday before he had a basketball game up in Aliso that I went to with my mom. We met the whole family (minus the youngest brother who was at the beach) at a mexican restaurant in San Clemente to celebrate his 16th. He thought he was just gonna have a low key night with his girlfriend but his friends set up a surprise party that we were all in on at my moms.

Yes, they all chose to dress up as sailors, not a clue why. It was so funny when my brother was out with his girlfriend for ice cream as she was distracting him while we all set up all the boys walked in with decorations and cake and streamers, it was so funny! They all got into the decorations and were carefully placing the balloons...it was adorable. Jake (my brother) was definitely surprised and had no clue this was coming, so cute!

More morning workouts!!!

My morning workouts are the reason why I can indulge every now and then ;). Zack and I had a mini date night had some dinner and watched the sun set and grabbed some little ice creams. I am more of a sorbet, bubble gum, cotton candy person when it comes to ice cream, but I was really craving the peanut butter chocolate ice cream so I thought I would deviate.

That's it for now! Just getting ready for the 4th and I will be sure to post pictures on here afterwards!!!

Everyone enjoy their 4th and be safe!

Get Fit Like Fido!

I've collaborated up with DogVacay, an online dog boarding community, to talk a little bit about staying fit and healthy and some tips and fun workout ideas to incorporate into your workout schedule or to just mix up your daily routine!

As I mention in just about every blog post...I love my pup, Oak, and I constantly work out with him.  Having a healthy and fit dog has been beneficial to myself, especially during this pregnancy because it helps motivate me to get out there and stay active. However, I do love circuit workouts and although my circuit workouts have been more sparse since being pregnant I do love to incorporate them into my workout schedule when I can.

DogVacay came to me with this cute idea to share with all of my readers. They teamed up with Certified Fitness Trainer & Registered Yoga Instructor & dog-lover, Julia Chan to create a workout that benefits both yourself and your loving pup!

Below I have included the DogVacay's Get Fit Like Fido circuit workout for you and pup! I am a fan of circuit workouts myself.  I love circuits that incorporate squats, jump squats, burpees, push-ups, lunges and more for that all-over body workout. You will be sore everywhere after a circuit workout, but it is the best kind of workout in my opinion and also often the quickest! It is important to warm-up and cool down with any workout...even this one below.  Maybe just take the doggy friend on a walk around the block first to loosen up those muscles and get some blood flowing, that's my favorite warm-up at least. I am always ready for a circuit workout after I go on a walk with my dog. The time frame can range to fit your schedule too. You can warm-up and get your heart rate pumping or do a lighter walk and get some stretching time in too. Cooling down is just as important and the circuit workout provided by DogVacay's Fit Like Fido has a few ideas for you! Some of these moves include some yoga positions for those yogis out there. I know I will be making use of the yoga positions with being pregnant to strengthen my muscles instead of overworking my body on a daily basis.

Anyways, I thought this was a really cute idea that was brought to me and I thought I had to share it with you guys! Even if you don't have a dog and you are one of my readers that loves to work out it might be fun to just try the circuit anyways, maybe it will help you get out of a workout rut. Circuit training always gives me more energy, however, I can't say the same for your dog. Your puppy will likely be ready to pass out for the day.

Save this image to your phone, your computer or wherever and you have it with you on the go!

XOXO

Our Week In IPhone Pictures

Happy Super Bowl Sunday Readers!

So we haven't been up to too much lately other than daily life. Zack has packed up his bag today because he is heading out to Utah tomorrow to teach the lab out there. He is gonna stay with his sister and family out there and head back Tuesday afternoon. I drop him off at the airport at 5:15 AM tomorrow, yuck! I always hate when he leaves, but at least he shortened his trip to just overnight!

Now, I realize this said week in pictures, but I am just gonna start from the end of the week, so Thursday I took Oak for a walk around campus and came home and did my favorite HIIT workout and used my polar watch! I absolutely love this thing, I used to have one when I was running cross country and it is a great way to monitor your heart rate and see how much work you are putting into your workouts, I love working out hard when I work out...so I always get my heart rate up and end up dripping in sweat after them.

Friday night I my friend wanted to go out for drinks so Zack and I packed up and headed home to San Clemente to stay the night with our families! My friend Britney and I went to a little wine bar in San Clemente called The Cellar. The old bar tender that I used to work with at a restaurant up there was our bar tender and he spoiled us, we were able to try quite a few wines. A great night! We settled on a Paso Robles Red Wine. A wine I am familiar with because Zack sells Paso wines. We had so much fun talking and listening to the live music and enjoying some good wine:).

That night we stayed with Zack's parents and in the morning we went to visit my Dad at his house at North Beach in San Clemente. We walked over to a little cafe called Ellie's Table and Zack picked out his lunch and we walked back over to my Dad's and watched the surfer's and enjoyed some lunch!

That day, we spent most of the day shopping for a new suit for Zack and we found the perfect one. He looks sharp in it I might add;)

This Sunday morning, we got up at 6:00 AM and got ready to go on a walk down to the harbor by our house by 6:30 AM. I am so happy it is cold out, but I wish it didn't take our Southern California winter so long to show up! I have already made up my mind that I am ready for summer. Stop teasing us weather! We walked to the harbor and hung out there for a bit and on our way home we stopped at Starbucks and Zack got a Latte and I got a Tazo Green Tea.

I love our weekend mornings together. We love to get our little family out and just be active together and enjoy the day. These are what our dates look like and I wouldn't want it any other way.

For the most part, today has been chore day, we worked out, did some cleaning around the house, got Zack all packed up for Utah, did some face masks (you know your man does face masks too, don't lie), and now we are gonna head out to sneak in a little shopping. Once we get back I am gonna get some homework done and then we are gonna watch a movie and call it an early night.

We were invited to Super Bowl Festivities, but this year I think we are gonna hang tight down here.

What is everyone else up to for Super Bowl Sunday?

Be safe!
