IPhone Photos From the Week

Here are just a few of the pictures I picked from my camera roll that we took this past week, these pictures aren't in any particular order:

Here are just a few of my polar watch after my workouts, some days I had to keep it lighter than others because of my back, this next week I should be feeling better and get back to some more intense workouts. For now, this is what I have to work with and it is better than nothing!

Here are a few pictures from a few of the walks we have gone on this week!

Taking the pup to the harbor.

A few shots on different days of the lookout point we often walk to.

Here are some of our sweet treats from this week!

Couple pictures of puppy love.
Watching Zack as he worked on my car.

Getting in my face at lunch.

Beach days! We have been fitting a lot of beach days into our week and it has been really relaxing!

Zack out in the water! Haha :)

After our Sunday beach day we came home, showered and went to a look out point for a picnic dinner. It was relaxing and there was pretty much no one there so we had the large grassy area to ourselves to hangout:)

And of course some decaf tea and a lil shot of baby, we love you little one!

I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing week! Now onto a new week, loving these summer days!

Snippets From This Week

Tuesday, my mom and I went to the LA shopping district to shop for clothes for her boutique. My back was bothering me pretty badly and we were starving all day, but it was fun and we enjoyed hanging out and we grabbed quite a few great pieces for her store. This is just a picture leaving the LA market and heading home after a long, long day.

Wednesday, Zack and I had a mid-week date and went on a walk around the Dana Point harbor and got ice cream that we BOTH had been craving for about two months now! We love the bubblegum ice cream they have at the ice cream shop there so we figured we would cave this one day and go grab one and walk around. Of course we had our white furry child with us.

Thursday, Oak and I went on a nice morning walk like we typically do every morning. I had to take a break on Saturday this week because my back is in so much pain. I think it is from my workout shoes + the growing babe so my lower back is just kinda thrown off. I see a pregnancy chiropractor on Tuesday around noon. Hopefully that does the trick! However, it was a gorgeous morning! We have been having consistently great weather which means better workouts for me!

Yesterday (Saturday), we went to the beach with our family from Utah, it was their last full day here. It went by so quickly and we all wanted to squeeze in one last beach day before they left. We had gone a few days during their visit and it has been so relaxing with such great beach days. Instead of going to a beach in San Clemente like we usually do and had originally wanted to do, we opted for a much less crowded Salt Creek in Dana Point. We got there early in the day and stayed until almost 7PM. It was gorgeous out and we were soaking up the last bit of beach sun with them before they head home to Utah this afternoon.

I hope you all had a wonderful week with great people! Enjoy relaxing summer weekends, they are the best!

What We've Been Up To Lately in Pictures

There hasn't been too much going on over the past week other than a few things here and there. We have mostly just been working and cleaning and more house hopping between families, so here are just a few pictures I have gathered together to share with you guys!

We went on a hike earlier this weekend with Kellie and Ryder up to the water tower near Zack's parents house. It was hot and I think Oak might've been the only one struggling towards the end. It really wasn't a long hike and I didn't burn many calories, but it was fun getting out and walking with the fam bam.

After a long walk with the pup early in the morning Zack and I picked up some Banzai Bowls for breakfast one morning this week, so freaking good.

They have options of a large and a small and the small was a struggle to finish! So much fruit, but so so good!

Baby and I definitely deserved that Banzai Bowl!

My brother gets his license in August, even though he turned 16 on the 30th, just how the DMV works when signing up I guess. I have never driven with him before and I was terrified as we were leaving the driveway at my mom's house. He was intentionally trying to scare me too haha, but I have to say he is an extremely good driver and very cautious, you're all safe! We went out to lunch just him and I for his birthday before he had a basketball game up in Aliso that I went to with my mom. We met the whole family (minus the youngest brother who was at the beach) at a mexican restaurant in San Clemente to celebrate his 16th. He thought he was just gonna have a low key night with his girlfriend but his friends set up a surprise party that we were all in on at my moms.

Yes, they all chose to dress up as sailors, not a clue why. It was so funny when my brother was out with his girlfriend for ice cream as she was distracting him while we all set up all the boys walked in with decorations and cake and streamers, it was so funny! They all got into the decorations and were carefully placing the balloons...it was adorable. Jake (my brother) was definitely surprised and had no clue this was coming, so cute!

More morning workouts!!!

My morning workouts are the reason why I can indulge every now and then ;). Zack and I had a mini date night had some dinner and watched the sun set and grabbed some little ice creams. I am more of a sorbet, bubble gum, cotton candy person when it comes to ice cream, but I was really craving the peanut butter chocolate ice cream so I thought I would deviate.

That's it for now! Just getting ready for the 4th and I will be sure to post pictures on here afterwards!!!

Everyone enjoy their 4th and be safe!

8 Weeks Pregnant Picture

8 Weeks Pregnant Update

How far along: Going to the doctor this week this past Monday I measured at 8 weeks and 4 days. He mentioned that we will go by this time frame until the 18 week anatomy scan and that we will be able to have a more accurate due date by then. So for now I am still due on Thanksgiving! So technically I am 9 weeks today, but I will be posting a 9 week update sometime in the following week.

Symptoms: Still nauseas every other morning or so. If I am nauseas in the morning then later on that same day I will get sick again....without fail. It has been pretty manageable and not nearly as bad as it was during week 6 and 7.

Cravings:  I am craving anything that I do not have to make. For some reason I am getting so grossed out opening my own cupboard and trying to figure out a meal. Everything is grossing me out. Everything. So no intense cravings.

Aversions: Pretty much anything that I have ever eaten or anything that I usually make for myself and Zack. When we were home for Easter I was starving and my mom offered me an Amy's which was just a Gluten Free Rice Dish that you can microwave and usually when I am home you can't go wrong with Amy's, they're easy and yummy...but this time I completely broke down and started crying and got really frustrated and asked her to not even show me the Amy's. Safe to say I don't want any Amy's Gluten Free microwave dishes. My poor mom and Zack dealt with a crazy that night haha.

Wedding rings: On

Sleep: I haven't been able to sleep as much as my body wants to these past few weeks. School has picked up quite a bit before finals and I have had tests and presentations every week that require all my attention when I get home from school. There hasn't been anytime for a nap and I badly want one. I just look forward to the weekends where I can come home and just fall asleep at 7PM after watching a Dexter on Netflix with Zack.

Excited for: Graduating on May 10th and then shortly after going in for our 12-13 week ultrasound where we can see the baby's hands and feet and everything. As of right now we are just excited that our doctor told us that we were basically in the safe zone even though we aren't at 12 weeks yet.

Missing: Having energy and motivation to do just about anything at all. I was told that I can now start working out normally again after I had some spotting at 6 weeks. I was told to take 2 weeks off and that was hard, but then again I don't think my body's level of energy would have let me do anything draining. I am missing eating like a normal person and not hating everything or getting grossed out by everything.

Movement: None

Dr. update: I am weaning off of the progesterone suppositories because he said everything is looking good. We saw the umbilical cord in the last ultrasound and that was pretty exciting. I can workout normally, he said to keep my heart rate below 150...so I can what? walk fast? I don't know about that....I think we are gonna have to compromise and come to some sort of agreement on what a work out actual is haha.

Exercise: Nothing other than walking the puppy love around the neighborhood with Zack every day. Spoiled pup gets a walk every single day, but really he just goes for the "kitty sightings", he is so intrigued by them. I have also been going up to Zack's work and using the gym there and just taking it easy on the elliptical every now and then. I stopped my HIIT workouts when I found out I was pregnant just in case, but I am going to slowly start incorporating a few a week along with some walks with the puppy around the neighborhood.

So that's the update for 8 weeks, I usually post my updates towards the end of each week so I will be doing the same for my 9 week one. Until then I will still be posting!

                                       Have a great night!

WE'RE PREGNANT!

EXCITING NEWS!!!

WE ARE PREGNANT!
The reason why we are sharing the news so early is because I don't think our families understood we were waiting to tell people haha.  My mom kept saying to me she couldn't stop, she was out of control and anyone that came into her boutique to shop and had a story...she had to top it with, my daughter's pregnant! We figured by the time 12 weeks rolled around and we were in the safe zone to tell people that everyone would've been like...."ummm, yeah we knew that already..." NO FUN! Going to my OB yesterday he assured me there are very slim chances of anything going wrong after you hear the baby's heartbeat.  The doctor wasn't in the office yesterday, but he had called me and said to go in for an ultrasound, that I was far enough along to hear the heartbeat.  Sure enough we did and the nurse immediately said, "yep! that's a strong heartbeat." I started crying and fell in love immediately. It makes it so much more real after hearing the heartbeat. Before it just felt like there was something inside of me making me hungry and irritable all the time, something that wanted to go to bed for the night at 2PM and something that loved vegetables last week and this week cannot stand the sight of them. A little gremlin! BUT after hearing the heartbeat, it was shocking, it felt like I was actually taking care of something and knowing that the little jelly bean's heart is just beating away in there is so exciting. However, we do know that in life things happen, if anything were to go wrong we have support from those who loves us. We told people early and announced it early, but there are people that miscarry at 13 weeks, a week after announcing their great news, some people miscarry in the third trimester, or some people miscarry right before they are about to announce. Things happen and there is no "right" time for every person to tell. For us, it was announcing it at close to 7 weeks. We are young, healthy, and all we can hope for is a healthy baby. Now our parents can feel free to blab to whoever and we can stop worrying about the "what if's" and actually get excited. Positive thinking!!!

Oak is gonna have to get used to a new brother or sister here really soon!

Just a little jelly bean!

SO EXCITING!

Phone Pictures & Foodie Things

Here are just a few meals that we have eaten over the past few days/week randomly chosen from my phone, as always they are all gluten-free!

Meat Loaf, Fried Zucchini, and a Salad

Homemade Tortilla Soup topped off with some Cheese, Sour Cream, and Crunched Tortilla Chips

Zack made some Butternut Squash this past Sunday

My favorite "Ice Cream" Mango Sorbet in the Vitamix!

Yesterday Zack and I were craving Sees Candies, I do NOT usually like chocolate, the only time I will eat it is when it's peanutbutter or mint chocolate. So....I caved and got the yummy peanut butter chocolate and the dark mint chocolate patty.

And....I also got the exception chocolate, sometimes I crave the keylime pie chocolate, it's probably because it is sour haha, so that was eaten too...Zack got carmel, butterscotch, and the bordeaux!

Nighttime cuddles with the puppy love...

I was out of class in the late afternoon yesterday, so when I got home we went straight to Ulta, then to Sees Candies, then to Ralphs for a small grocery trip for fruits and veggies. We ate the meat loaf, zucchini, and salad...watched some Dexter on Netflix and took puppy love on a walk. That was basically our whole night!

How was everyones Monday?
