Naked 3 Palette and My Week

So I missed a day or two of blogmas, but I can't be too bummed because I was pretty sick and it just wasn't going to happen. I don't have the best pictures of the Naked 3 Palette (just the ones I took unpacking it). So I will include a few of the ones I took from unpacking it. When I am feeling better maybe I will post a few make-up looks using this palette. Needless to say, I am ecstatic I got it before it sold out because I am in love...

A picture I posted on my instagram right after I opened the package from Sephora. UPS brightened my day :)

I will be sure to add better pictures, but these are the lighter colors of the palette...
And the darker colors of the palette, blackheart is amazing!

And one of the many reasons why I haven't been able to post in the last two days is because I have been getting ready for finals and preparing for a presentation. We presented on our research over the semester to the Biology department/Chemistry department.

What has everyone been up to this week? Was anybody just as impatient as me and get a hold of a Naked 3 Palette as well?

Naked 3 Palette Finally Got Here! and I am Sick

Blogmas Day 11, Sorry about yesterday...

I didn't blog yesterday because....sorry for the information here, I had an ovarian cyst rupture...so I was very sick last night, I threw up and did not get much sleep. So today the UPS man decided to make my day a little bright by bringing me the Naked 3 Palette I ordered online from Sephora last week. I am still sick and finishing up a finals paper that is due tomorrow so I will be posting plenty of pretty pictures tomorrow :) I can't wait to share! It is gorgeous!

I hope everyone is having a good evening, sleep tight!

Dinner Time

Blogmas Night 9

Gluten-Free Italian Parmesan Crusted Chicken & Zucchini

Being gluten free we do not have many "crusted" chicken options and I rarely ever make anything that isn't grilled anyways just because I don't like to make too heavy of meals. However, when we went grocery shopping last week I came across a new product, well new to me anyways.

I chose to use the Italian Bread Crumbs. I bought two different kinds, the Italian shown above and the Original. Both are offered Gluten-Free and also Non-Gluten Free, I will provide the link below. I found them at Ralph's.

I cracked two eggwhites into a bowl, I really could've done with one really, but I wasn't sure how much I would need. I like to use thin sliced chicken breast because it cooks thoroughly through quickly which is what you need for this kind of meal.

I added olive oil to the pan and let it heat while I added the bread crumbs to a separate bowl. I then dipped the eggwhite soaked chicken in the bread crumb bowl and made sure to turn it over on both sides a few times to cover it completely. I then added the covered chicken breasts to the pan!

While the chicken was cooking I made sure to get some veggies on the stove, I just cut up two zucchinis and put them in some coconut oil. I didn't wanna use anymore olive oil with the meal since the chicken was breaded and cooked in olive oil. As the zucchini was cooking I melted some parmesan on the chicken and turned off the pan to let it melt from the heat of the chicken.

Here is the Ian website: http://www.iansnaturalfoods.com/
If Gluten Free isn't your thing and you have no reason to eat Gluten Free (lucky you ;)) then they also offer non gluten free, just some yummy, natural, easy foods and great options to add to your recipes!

How is everyone's Monday Night?

Work Dinner Party and Wine Tasting

Work Party
Blogmas Day 8!

Last night Zack and I went to his work party at his boss's house in Del Mar. We stopped by Zack's office first so we could do a few last minute  things before we headed over to the party.

We took a few weird pictures in the elevator and I took a few of the office in general...

Me, stealing Zack's oh so official office chair. You can see him in the background ;)
Checking out the cell counter!

Us, just messing around trying to buy time before we head over to the party...turns out our "fashionably late tactic" didn't exactly pan out. We ended up being the first ones there and the hosts hadn't even gotten dressed yet. Yeah.....that's what we get for not checking our email saying if it rains come at 6 instead of 5....and here we thought we were safe arriving at 5:30 ish. We were wrong. HAHA!

And here is a picture of a few accessories I wore with my outfit. Of course, my wedding band and engagement ring. I matched my wedding band with my rose gold fossil watch. I also had on a rose gold necklace with a druzy stone (my favorite). I wore some knee high socks, an oversized sweater by Mink Pink, some leggings and my knee high steve madden black boots!

Oh and yes, I matched my nail polish to my jewelry...

You can't see in this picture, but I had some rose gold MAC pigment on the inner corners of my eyes to tie all the rose gold craziness together. Just wait until my Naked 3 palette comes in the mail, rose gold heaven.

So the party ended up being pretty fun, we had intended on leaving around 7:30, we planned on just mingling and doing the wine tasting, Zack ate dinner and then the awkward sitting and staring at each other happened....you know the kind where you really don't want to be the first couple to leave so you just sit there waiting for someone to cave and get up and then make a break for it! Yeah...that took a brave soul about another hour or two after dinner. We stayed til about 10:30 and were the second people to leave. We weren't brave enough to leave first...but others followed ;).

And yes, I was messing around with Apps on my phone for the picture above, I can dream about snow in San Diego can't I?

What did you do on your Saturday night? I hope everyone is ready to start the week again! I know I am NOT ready!

Christmas Pictures and Blogmas Day 4

4th Day of Blogmas

I thought I would share with you guys what Zack, Oak and I did on Sunday afternoon with my siblings and my mom. We took family Christmas Pictures!!! WOOOO! My mom has the CD of all the pictures, I plan on showing you guys more, but for now I will show you the ones that I have!!!

We haven't taken family pictures in forever, it is weird to see how much we have all changed. My brothers are getting too big!

Front: My Mom and my Brothers

My husband with his brother in laws and his mother in law :)

All of us again!

This is definitely not all of the pictures, we went to other locations and Zack and I took some with our pup so I plan on sharing those with you guys when I get a hold of them!

My sister and my brother, just taking our own pictures while we had a few seconds ;)

Thought I would also share a picture collage from my instagram of Zack, Oak and I on a walk on our favorite street during the holidays! This whole street goes all out!

These pictures obviously do not do it justice at all!
But it is a gingerbread town...I feel like an elf when I am there. We walk there pretty much every night during the month of December. Our pup tends to freak out a bit whenever the Santas on the lawns start singing or when the light-up reindeers starting moving their heads! The other night I grabbed a candy cane off the tree and all three of us headed over to the street to check it out.

I love this season:)

Do any of you go all out for Christmas with your homes? I can't wait until we can!

Blogmas 2013!

I love when other blogs I follow participate in BLOGMAS, if you don't know what that is... it's when bloggers try to blog everyday leading up to Christmas and maybe even after. So I am thinking I was going to try it out!

I love when other blogs do, so I thought I might as well try it out! What do you guys like to see for Blogmas? Let me know in the comments below and maybe we can motivate each other to blog everyday during the month of December. There are always such great holiday parties, decorations, recipes, makeup looks, outfits, we should all be sharing them with each other:)

I am getting so excited, how about you?
