My Everyday Make-up Go-To's

Here are a few of my favorite go-to make up products! If I have to be somewhere and I am heading out the door these are the things that I always have in my make-up bag to help complete my look quickly. These are things that I have used for years and consistently, so they are my never-fail products. You can't go wrong with any of these!

Everyday Go-To's

1. Mac Pro Longwear Concealer- I wear shades NC20-25 and NW20-25. I probably need to get a few darker shades because I am getting fairly tan each day just being outside. I use the NW20-25 under my eyes and the NC20-25 to cancel out any redness and brighten certain areas on my face.

2. Nivea Lip Butter- I have the scent carmel cream. I have multiple lip products from them and I always apply it to my lips before I apply any lip product because I like my lips to be smooth and not all cracked. This one smells like candy and deliciousness so it is one of my favorites to use everyday.

3. Anastasia Brow Wiz- I use the shade soft brown. I never fill in the whole brow I just fill in sparse areas if I have any. I haven't gotten my eyebrows done since I was married over a year ago so this always helps to even things out on days where I need it. I also think by doing your eyebrows it makes you look more awake and ready to go!

4. Loreal Voluminous Mascara- I use this mascara for my everyday make-up looks and even when I am doing a little bit fancier make-up. Having been in school for 4 years I just couldn't justify buying my favorite Diorshow Iconic Mascara (MY ALL TIME FAVORITE). So instead I get my cheap fix using the Loreal Voluminous mascara in carbon black. IT IS SO BLACK. It doesn't leave that gray cast that some mascaras can have leaving you with even duller lashes. I will be picking up my favorite Diorshow Iconic Mascara soon though (I'm having withdrawals).

5. Beauty Blender- If you are in the need of something to apply your make-up quickly, this is it. I use it everyday for that reason. It cuts the amount of time applying foundation or concealer in half. I have loved my beauty blenders for a very long time now and I am never without them. It is amazing.

6. Tarte Cosmetics LipSurgence Matte- I have loved this product for years and years now, I can't even tell you how many years....I think since the week it came out I have had it. It is my best friend. I have the shade 'Exposed'. I love the other shades as well and have been meaning to get my hands on them, but I have this one always because it is the same shade as my lips naturally, just slightly deeper so it emphasizes my natural lips. When I do an everyday look I rarely use a heavy lip product, I use this amazing peppermint scented stick of gorgeousness.

Knee Highs

Blogmas Day 6

Today I had class and Zack worked and went to class...
I came home and kind of relaxed.

We then went to the mall for a little bit of shopping. I ordered the Naked 3 Palette online today! Yay! I will be sure to let you know when it comes in the mail I love all of the eyeshadows in the palette so I am sure it will be my new go-to make up item.

At the mall Zack ate dinner...if that's what you want to call it. He got Wetzels Pretzels and Dip n' Dots...Dinner right? I think he deserves a break having to eat gluten free because of me all of the time ;)

Well I bought a cute sweater and two pairs of knee high socks. I love oversized sweaters with knee high socks and some dressy shorts for winter or a long sleeved dress and knee high socks....It's a break from typical leggings. I have been getting bored dressing leggings all the time with boots so I thought I would pick up some socks and I also got a neck-high velvet dress. I just love the velvet style that is in right now. So cute. We also went and stopped at Sees Candies. I do not like chocolate typically, but I love peanut butter chocolate things and Mint Chocolate things so I opted for some peanut butter cups and Zack got a Bordeaux.

Knee Highs

Above are some cute cable socks similar to a pair I got. I also got a pair with some buttons on the side.... What are some alternatives to pants and leggings you guys like to wear during the Holiday season.

Have a great night,

New, Loved, and Craved Beauty Products

BLOGMAS DAY 3

New, Loved, Craved Beauty Products 1

New Purchase

So I have just purchased the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Soft Brown. I have relatively thick eyebrows as it is, and not too many sparse areas so instead of using a shadow like I typically do I thought I would give this a go.

Recent Purchases That I Love/ Still Love

I just wanted to update everyone on a few beauty items that I have re-purchased, I always have one of these in my make up bag, its the Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer and Highlighter. During the summer I wore the color Ivory, but last winter I was wearing the color Radiant. This winter I have repurchased Radiant as I am nearing FINALS week I am going to need all the help I can get with these dark circles.

A few years ago I was wearing the Mac Pro Long Wear Foundation, then my skin decided to go through some changes...I changed my skin care routine and my foundation and never really ever thought to go back to it, even though I really loved it. I had been debating on getting the Mac Pro Long Wear Concealer and early last month I decided I would give it a go. I am so happy I did too. I wear the color NC20, typically you should go for a more peachy tone underneath your eyes, but I use a  tiny bit of the peach toned highlighting concealer (Maybelline Lumi) on top in the corners and it works really well. I am Greek and Italian so I have very olive skin undertones that are hard to match, that's why I love the yellow based foundations and concealers of MAC.

Craving

I need to get my hands on a Naked3 Palette, believe me I have tried. SOLD OUT or three times the price that it sells for. I am crazy, but I am not crazy enough to spend hundreds of dollars on a palette that only costs around 50 dollars. So I suppose I will just have to sit here and wait....and wait! It is so gorgeous though, cool toned colors do not look good with my skin tone if I even think about doing a gray smokey eye I wind up looking like a hookerBrowns and peaches, warm colors, thats what steers me away from looking like I belong on a street corner. This palette has amazing warm tones and I am just obsessing over wanting one!

THE IMAGES ABOVE ARE WHAT I HAVE JUST LISTED. CHECK THEM OUT! LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU'RE CRAVING THIS MONTH IN THE COMMENTS BELOW! Maybe we can guide each other on the best beauty products and where to snatch them up! Have a great and cozy soon-to-be- Christmas afternoon ;)

Spin on the Classic Winter Nail Polishes

Yay! Day 2 of Blogmas!

I always gravitate towards reds and deep greens for winter time and the Holiday season, this month and the end of last month I have been trying something a little different. I have been playing with some cool toned polishes. These two are my most worn polishes this last month and will continue to be the month of December.
I love Essie's new holiday collection. I have the Essie polish called
Bikini So Teeny and On A Silver Platter

I would describe Essie's Bikini So Teeny as a baby/periwinkle/creamy blue toned polish.
I would describe Essie's On A Silver Platter as....AMAZING. This is the craziest glitter polish I have ever seen, for some reason I was so drawn to it. It is a combination of gold and silver glitter with larger blue chunks in it. It reflects differently in every light. I stare at this all day when I wear it. IT IS SO GLITTERY.

I will still be wearing some deep burgundy's and hopefully go get me some more of those Essie Holiday Encrusted Treasure Polishes:)

Essie Spin on WInter Faves

If you have tried out any of the other Essie Holiday Polishes let me know, I would love to hear how you like them! Also, what is your favorite winter polish combination right now?? Let me know in the comments!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying this cozy winter day!

Rainy Day Outfit

I know this is not what you would expect to see for a rainy day outfit. You might expect to see more layers and a coat on top of a bigger coat...but living in San Diego and it being October, our rainy days are not freezing, yes they are cold, but I could survive without all the layers. Once we hit November and December, forget it, I will be layering coat over coat over trench coat. But for now, this is what I like to wear when it starts to drizzle :)

Rainy Day Outfit

I always love to wear a pair of skinny jeans when it is raining because you do not have to worry about dragging the backs of the jeans through the puddles....I know you have felt that soggy fabric right by your ankle blahhh worst feeling it just sits there, damp, cold, and heavy.

I love my bright red rainboots that I have. I feel like theyre festive for the colder holiday months and it is a nice change from black.

A graphic tee is an easy way to liven up a dark outfit, layer it with an oatmeal colored cardigan and an infinity scarf and you have one cozy & comfortable outfit for those drizzly days:)!

Summer to Fall Clothes

Summer to Fall

With school starting back up again on Wednesday I plan on transitioning my Summer clothes into my Fall outfits by incorporating a few pieces here and there. I will always love my cardigans and my huge cozy sweaters paired with boots or even paired with a tank top and shorts. I usually like to keep it simple and cozy for Fall. Florals, flannels, leather, denim and more:)
