Some New Goodies!

Over the past few weeks Zack and I have been settling into our new routine of school and work. He gets up and goes to work and I head off to school. Things have finally relaxed after the holidays and doctors appointments are over, so we are finally getting back into the swing of things. Here are just a few things that I have picked out to share with you guys of things I have picked up within the last couple of weeks!

The links will be below as well as the pictures of the products:

1. Revlon Matte Balm in Sultry- This is fairly similar to Tarte's exposed, but a little goes a long way with the Revlon one and although I love my Tarte one, this one is 20 dollars cheaper!

2. OPI in Don't Pretzel My Buttons- I wore this color on my toes on my wedding day and fell in love with it, I can't believe it took me this long to purchase it. It is similar to Essie's St. Tropez, but slightly less gray toned. It is a beautiful neutral!

3. Sugar Blossom Candle Scent from Target- I love candles! I have recently burnt down all of my holiday one so I am introducing some yummy fresh and candy scented ones for Spring coming up!

4. Forever 21 Workout Mesh Pants- I LOVE these, they are so comfortable and when I first got them I thought the mesh on the back of the leg would be unnecessary, but I actually really like them! When I workout, I go as hard as I can and I work up a pretty good sweat so these pants work really well!

5. Forever 21 Mesh Bra- I have the bra in nude it is sooooo comfortable, I forget I am wearing a bra throughout the day, but it is also supportive because of the underwire. You may have to go into the store to get one if you are larger than a B or C cup because that was the only place I found a 34 D. Totally worth it and inexpensive!

6. Alba Botanica Sunscreen- I love this whole line of skin care products. It is also really affordable and all of their products are paraben free--which later down the road means wrinkle free! Im in! Zack and I have very sensitive skin and non of their products have ever broken me out, which is hard to find with a sunscreen!

7. Forever 21 Workout Pants! More workout Pants! The link below may or may not link to the ones I have actually purchased. If it doesn't the ones I purchased have a fleece lining inside the leggings and a shiny legging material on the outside. Normally on a cold day leggings don't keep you warm, but these are like a giant fleece blanket for your legs! They are SO comfortable and definitely worth purchasing! I would recommend to anyone who likes to work out at night or early morning when it's a bit chillier.

Small Business Saturday and Makeup Look From Last Night

Last night was "Puttin' on the Glitz" it is an event that goes on in my hometown every year. The stores stay open late and there are horse carriage rides for the kids and the whole street is decked out in Christmas decor. It is a great way to kick off the holiday season. It was also small business saturday yesterday so I was working with my mom in her boutique supporting her last night!

We are happy to be home from Kauai and even happier to be getting ready to celebrate Christmas!

So for this look here is what I used:

Revlon Colorstay Foundation in Sand Beige and Golden Beige (I have to check on the color of the second one I used, not 100% sure its Golden Beige)
Mac Pro Longwear Concealer in NC20
Nars Powder in Beach to set foundation
Rimmel Stay Matte in 03 and 01 for oily areas
Mac Blush in Melba
Nars Bronzer in Laguna
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette for eyes
Maybelline Colossal Mascara on upper lashes
Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara Waterproof on bottom lashes
Stila Waterproof Black Eyeliner Pen on upper lash line
Nars Highlighter in Albatross
Bare Minerals Well Rested Powder lightly dusted under eyes and around mouth
Chanel Lipstick in Tobago Aqualumiere

In the first picture you can see I just styled my hair in loose waves I made with my flat-iron and it gave me my relaxed, casual, loose curls.

I wore a black tank top, a hooded flannel underneath my black military-styled jacket, a pair of tight skinny blue jeans, knee high socks and a pair of black knee high boots from Steve Madden that I have had for years that I absolutely love .

My nails are painted a light periwinkle/baby blue color, in Essie Bikini so Teeny.

I hope you all had an amazing Saturday night and if you are a small business owner I hope you had lots of love from your local customers coming out to support you!

Happy first day of December!

Rainy Day Outfit

I know this is not what you would expect to see for a rainy day outfit. You might expect to see more layers and a coat on top of a bigger coat...but living in San Diego and it being October, our rainy days are not freezing, yes they are cold, but I could survive without all the layers. Once we hit November and December, forget it, I will be layering coat over coat over trench coat. But for now, this is what I like to wear when it starts to drizzle :)

Rainy Day Outfit

I always love to wear a pair of skinny jeans when it is raining because you do not have to worry about dragging the backs of the jeans through the puddles....I know you have felt that soggy fabric right by your ankle blahhh worst feeling it just sits there, damp, cold, and heavy.

I love my bright red rainboots that I have. I feel like theyre festive for the colder holiday months and it is a nice change from black.

A graphic tee is an easy way to liven up a dark outfit, layer it with an oatmeal colored cardigan and an infinity scarf and you have one cozy & comfortable outfit for those drizzly days:)!

Summer to Fall Clothes

Summer to Fall

With school starting back up again on Wednesday I plan on transitioning my Summer clothes into my Fall outfits by incorporating a few pieces here and there. I will always love my cardigans and my huge cozy sweaters paired with boots or even paired with a tank top and shorts. I usually like to keep it simple and cozy for Fall. Florals, flannels, leather, denim and more:)
