BLANQI: High Performance Support

BLANQI

Okay, so I was sent a few goodies to share with all you mommies out there and all you mommies-to-be, like myself.  I was sent two BLANQI products to share with you all and I am so excited to help get the brand out there.

Back track a few months ago in the summer I looked into this brand, I found them online at Nordstrom when I was interested in purchasing some maternity leggings for winter. I never ended up purchasing any, but that's because I was making due with the clothes that I had until it became necessary....well it never became necessary, so I never made the purchase. However, they contacted me and I recalled the brand name from when I was searching back in the summer and of course I was all in! I wanted to share this brand with all of you because I don't think I have ever been in such a good mood this entire pregnancy until I put these clothes on. Clothes that fit your body right make a huge difference. I was so bored of maxi skirts and sweat pants that when I received the package from BLANQI I immediately put the clothes on. I have been pretty home bound this pregnancy just because it has been so hot and miserable outside that the one day I need comfy leggings, I HAD THEM! Zack even said "let's do something for dinner tonight" and he was shocked when I agreed to going out to dinner. I have been so uncomfortable and annoyed with my wardrobe choice that getting cute and going out hasn't seemed that fun nor easy. Tonight I wore my BLANQI maternity leggings out to dinner with some boots and a giant sweater and I felt so comfortable! I felt like I was wearing pajamas. I was in such a good mood. These leggings are miracle workers. They don't tug, the don't squish and they don't cut off breathing supply, who knew maternity leggings could be so comfy and breathable!!!

I am big on over sized sweaters and these leggings are perfect to pair with a cute pair of boots and a giant sweater to keep you warm now that the weather is cooling down.

This brand has everything! Not just maternity wear. They have everyday wear and also postpartum wear! I am definitely interested in the postpartum leggings and think I will have to look into getting a pair!

The other product was the "Bumped" tunic in baby pink. THE SOFTEST MATERIAL EVER.
It is also a super cute pregnancy shirt for those mommas wanting to show off their bump! Or even for those awkward first three months of pregnancy where people aren't sure if you have just been chowing down on all the food in sight or if you're pregnant! I thought this shirt was so cute and loved the baby pink considering I am expecting my little girl any day now! This shirt might just have to stick with me even after she arrives ;)

Morphe Brushes Review: 35N Matte Palette

Morphe Brushes 35N Matte Palette

Okay, so I haven't really been able to give this product an extensive review because I just received it this morning and I haven't really had much time to play around with it. I did however immediately open it when I received it and started swatching and testing out some of the shadows!

(Packaging of the product)

(Ingredients are on the back of the packaging)

(Out of the box it came in with company logo)

(Morphe Brushes 35N Matte Palette)

I ordered the Morphe Brushes 35N Matte Palette a little over a week ago and got it in the mail today. I heard good things about this company and I wanted to give it a try myself! The palette itself sells for $19.95 and then there is the cost of shipping (changes depending on promo code used).

I went with the matte palette because all of my Naked Palettes from Urban Decay have all the shimmer I need and I have a million MAC shimmer/satin shadows so I wanted to deviate a bit! I heard that the matte shadows are pigmented, but slightly harder to work with than the satin shadows Morphe Brushes offers. Based on a few swatches I can see how that may be true, but for the price I am really liking these shadows so far.

This morning I didn't intend on wearing any make up today, but when I got these on the porch I thought I might as well play around with it and do a really subtle look. I didn't prime my face, use any eyeliner and I barely touched my brows. I really wasn't in the mood for make up today so I will have to do a few other looks with this palette later, but just to show you guys I figured I would take a picture of the look. I wanted browns and something warm because cool tones do not look good on me, I look like a hooker when I wear them. So I just went with a terra cotta color scheme for today.

I took this one on my phone so the colors on my lid may be slightly different than if I were to use my nice camera, but I will do a look later on after I mess around with the shadows a bit.

Here is a picture of the shadows I used for this look. From Top to Bottom: The 1st one circled I used to prep my lids with an all over color. The 2nd one I used with a giant fluffy brush to sweep all over the crease. The 3rd I focused in my crease with a more precise fluffy brush. The 4th I used to line my under-eye. The 5th I used in the outer-v corner of my lid. The 6th I used as my "eyeliner" on the outer corner of my lid staying close to my lash line. I also brought the 6th color down on my under-eye and focused on the outer corner to connect the top and bottom.

Like I said, I did not do an extensive full face of make up and I went with some safer colors because I didn't really feel like wearing much make up today if any at all. I plan on doing a pretty cranberry and also an eggplant look in the future for some fun fall looks.

If you are interested in checking out their website you can find that here!

Chatbooks Review

I ordered my Chatbooks a little over a week ago, when they were going through a crazy time with a massive influx of orders...but they still came in the mail very quickly!

I ordered mine from the app on my phone and it was super easy to use, very straight forward and simple.

You can choose the cover photos you want for each "Volume" I ordered 4 volumes, each with 60 pages of pictures back and front!

Here are a few shots from the inside of the Chatbooks!
Unlike instagram they actually put the day, month and year the photo was posted on Instagram instead of saying "125 weeks ago" as if you remember that specific date...

You can edit your captions or keep them as their originals. I chose to just keep the original captions instead of going through and changing all of them because I figured it was part of the memory anyways!

Here is a picture of the side binding of each book. You get to create the title you want on each volume. I put "Zack & Sydney" as a way to connect it to my blog and because I use my instagram more than Zack does, the photos are both of our memories!

You can also do a custom book without using your instagram photos and you can visit their website on how to do that (I will link their website below). I know I will be doing one of my bump progression pictures, or just pictures of the belly throughout the whole pregnancy.

I cannot wait to add these little books onto my coffee table at our new place which we will be starting to move within a month or so. I cannot wait to set these books out on display. So much more personal than a random coffee table book. There is something I love about having photos tangible instead of on the computer or on the phone. I absolutely love these books.

Each volume contains 60 pages back and front of your photos and each volume costs 6 dollars. Not bad & definitely worth every penny!

You NEED to go visit their WEBSITE
Check out their INSTAGRAM

I am so happy I did this! I plan to do a lot more in the future!

Maternity Friendly Etsy Shop

Etsy Shop Collaboration

Last week I got in touch with the Etsy shop owner Christian Taylor, the artist of some cozy pieces. I collaborated with her and she sent me her Ava dress to review for you guys. I am not huge yet, so I haven't desperately needed maternity clothes yet, but there were two pieces I was really loving in her shop and it was the "Taylor" dress (maternity) and the "Ava" dress (non-maternity). I was given an option of colors and went with the black because I thought it would be the most versatile.

Please excuse the hairbands, they're kind of a permanent accessory.

The dress is a T-shirt style dress and it is super comfy. It is super easy to throw on with flip-flops and head to the beach with a floppy hat. Definitely easy for errands.

Her shop is called Miss Priss Clothing! Her dresses all look super comfy and I am definitely partial to the Taylor Dress and the Ava Dress!

This is a picture from her shop of the Taylor Dress...looks like a cozy long tank top henley dress!

I am wearing the Ava dress in the pictures above.

She is the sweetest lady and so easy/quick to respond. She is located in Dana Point, CA.

Definitely check her out!

Epicuren Discovery Hydrating Mineral Mask Review

Okay, so let's talk about Epicuren Discovery Hydrating Mineral Mask. To start off, this stuff is amazing. I use a retin-A at night a few times a week and it makes me somewhat oily during the day so when I see things like "hydrating"...I bolt the other direction! BUT there has to be a balance, even oily skin needs some hydrating!

Sooo...I have had an incredibly long week with very minimal sleep, 4-5 hours at most every night since Monday. This is pretty typical for most weeks, and even though I do not turn into a MONSTER from lack of sleep I definitely feel like it shows on my skin...I feel like I look dehydrated and exhausted and my skin lacks that healthy plump look.

Last night I thought I would give this stuff a go, I was looking at my dark circles and my exhausted skin and thought it would be a perfect night to see how the product really performs, especially since the weather has been so dry lately my skin has been dry as well...so I went for it!

After the recommended 10-20 minutes on the skin (I waited about 18 min. or so) I gently wiped it off with a warm damp wash cloth, and OH MY GOSH my skin felt amazing. It did not have that greasy feel you get from just throwing on lotion...I can't even explain it....it felt like new skin. I made Zack keep touching my face and I could not stop talking about how good my skin felt.

The product says: For Normal, Dry, and Dehydrated skin types. A creamy mineral complex designed to restore the skin's freshness and moisture levels.

I have the 2.5 fl oz tube.

When you first apply it, it goes on feeling like a watery, thick lotion, but lotions sink into skin and this just kind of sat on top and did not dry like a clay mask. It dried a little but you could still see the white color of the product, it didn't seep into skin all the way, which I imagine is normal.

I would definitely recommend this product to people even with oily skin like me, my make up went on smoother this morning and my skin just looked rested even though I only got about 5 hours of sleep at most. When you take it off your face your skin feels "cool" not tingly like a purifying mask would make skin feel, but just moisturized, not irritated at all like some masks can be, instead it felt refreshed. I have sensitive skin too. I do not know what happened to my skin, but about 2 years ago my skin started being picky about the products I use on it...this product as well as the other epicuren products I have just gotten have not irritated my skin at all.

Let me know if you want to see more reviews on the other products I have just gotten from epicuren or whatever products you would like to see and anything else you may be interested in seeing in the comments below!

Feel free to ask questions too!
