Past Week in My IPhone Pictures

So Spring Break is over and we didn't really do too much. Zack had work and although I should've been studying it never really happened haha, but I enjoyed the down time! As Zack was at work I was pretty much back and forth between San Clemente hanging out with my friend...just going on beach walks and grabbing some tea and visiting my mom in her boutique. We went up to the LA fashion district and picked out a ton of pretty spring pieces for her to incorporate into her store. Other than that I was just hanging out at home in San Diego for the remaining part of the week, taking my dog on long walks and working out for most of the day, felt good to sweat and clear my mind of any school stress! Then it was my dad's birthday, but we chose to celebrate this last Sunday with the family. I made something gluten-free for myself and everyone else ordered pizza, we just hung out and watched the sunset, it was so hot out, it felt like a perfect summer night!

So here are a few random pictures that were taken over spring break! (not in any particular order).

Vitamix Mango Sorbet. YUM!

Zack and I were craving my yummy Mexican Salad I make, looks like some salad craziness in the picture...but SO GOOD!

Loving on the puppy!

Visiting my Dad's house in San Clemente after a long beach walk and some tea with my friend:)
Walking Oak around Point Loma, sniffing every bush in sight.
Mini MAC excursion and a yummy vitamix smoothie!

Bugging Zack as he does the dishes!

Procrastination at its finest, getting some last minute studying done...

....and bugging him still.

Sister and I messing around at my Dad's birthday dinner!

A yummy light lunch!

The gorgeous sunset we had in San Clemente on Sunday evening!

What was everyone up to this past week or weekend? Is anyone else looking forward to summer after this wonderful weather we have been having?

What We Have Been Eating and Catch-up in Pictures!

So this past week has been kind of a hectic week, mentally. So I have not been too good about posting on here, but things are up and running this week so I am back to posting! I did receive my Frank's Coffee Scrub in the mail last week and I have used it twice and oh my gosh its amazing...seriously my skin is sooooo soft. It is definitely messy! But so worth it. It smells like coffee, chocolate, orange goodness...I know that sounds like a weird combination, but it smells great. I will do a more thorough review on it this week.

For now here are just some pictures of what we have been eating and some pictures that have been sitting on my camera roll and posted on my instagram...just to get caught up to date with everything!

Some Valentine's Day Lovin', I tortured our puppy by putting one of my floral headpieces on him, he hates anything on his head...he was our little Valentine this year! We also made homemade chocolates and chocolate covered marshmallows for our Valentine's day. Our first Valentine's day we shared together in high school Zack made me a box of home-made chocolates in this giant heart shaped box he decorated himself so I wanted to do that again this year just for fun.
He also surprised me with three roses that looked like rose/peony hybrids. I love the pastel and green in them, he knows me well;)

We celebrated my sister's birthday at Carbonaras in San Clemente, an Italian Restaraunt. Her birthday was the 16th....she turned 20, so weird! So for a few months her and I are only 1 year apart (number-wise).

Now here is just a bunch of food/meals we have had recently over the past week...

Yummy Garbanzo Bean Salad

Tso Chicken and Rice

Matzo Ball Soup

Orange Tomato Pizza

Vitamix Banana "Ice Cream" and Tea

So those were just a few meals that I had taken pictures of in my phone camera roll...

Now, this past weekend Zack and I cleaned the house Saturday morning and took the puppy love on a walk around the neighborhood, we then had a very uneventful cozy, tv show marathon day. It was pretty foggy on Saturday around afternoon time and we just wanted to re-cooperate from a long week laying on the couch cuddling and cleaning up the house.

On Sunday we took Oak to my school to walk him around there, down on the cliffs to play at the mini dog park overlooking the ocean. I also had to do something in lab at school really quickly so we got that done in the morning. Then it was work out time for me while Zack made Cheese Blintzes (Gluten Free) they were sooooo yummy! Then I got laundry done while he did his work out...

I studied a bit and then we watched some tv before heading to bed!

Nothing too exciting this past weekend. I will be posting about the Frank's Coffee Scrub so look for that this week:)

Foodie Things and My Saturday So Far

A few meals Zack and I have had this week!

Gluten Free Homemade Pizza with a Mixed Green Salad

A Yummy Gluten Free Veggie Noodle Dish! (Homemade)

Some Vanilla Ice Cream with Frozen Berries on top for Dessert!

A Yummy Green Smoothie, Always a Delicious SNACK! In the Vitamix Of Course!!!

So today I have just been getting some laundry done and getting the house kinda cleaned up. After school starting up again this last week I needed to get back on track around the house. Zack has been living it up at a 5 star hotel about 35 minutes from our house for a work conference....so its just been the pup and I since last night, but he is choosing to come home to sleep here tonight instead :)....I love that man ;)

I have also managed to get in a low key work out, I didn't push myself too hard today which is fine, but I just wanted to get a work out in....not too bad for an easier day though! I love my polar watch.

What is everyone else up to today?
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Vitamix Green Smoothie Breakfast

QUICK BREAKFAST ON THE GO

Most mornings I do not like to wake up and eat a super heavy breakfast, but I do love having breakfast! Ever since I got my Vitamix back in May I have finally been able to make my own green smoothies!!!

I have Celiac Disease so having to eat gluten free means I can't ever just pick up a bagel to eat at school or run out to any local Jamba Juice and place an order.....BUT I have definitely come up with a healthier solution to those stressful mornings where we are all rushing around and need something quick!

Ingredients I used:

(My ingredients vary depending on what fruits I feel like adding that day)

Vanilla Flavored Greek Yogurt (I also like to use Plain Greek Yogurt)
Organic Mango Chunks
Frozen Strawberries
Frozen Banana
Orange Juice
Kale
Spinach

These are not the fruits I use all the time and sometimes when I want to have something along with the smoothie to eat I will swap out the orange juice for water to keep it lighter...

You do not have to have a Vitamix to make this smoothie! I know green smoothies are super popular right now and are worth the hype! They keep you full for so long! I love these, especially before I workout, I can avoid all that food weighing me down sloshing around in my stomach giving me a side ache as I am jumping all around.

All blended up!
My husband, Zack, loves them too...get to sneak all his vegetables in there ;)

Drink up!!!

Let me know if you guys have any variations of your green smoothies that you suggest!

Happy Wednesday,

Sydney
