I Love You MOM

Happy Mother's Day

To all of you mommies I just wanted to wish you a Happy Mother's Day (yesterday)!

I can't wait until next year when I get to have my little one with me and everyone celebrating all of the great mommies out there.

Yesterday morning Zack and I drove up to San Clemente to celebrate our Mom's and his dad's birthday. We went to Oak Creek in Irvine, which is where my Mom's boyfriend, Jason, works. It is a beautiful golf-course restaurant and because it was such a beautiful day we were outside on the patio. We had My mom, sister, two brothers, brother's girlfriend, myself, Zack, his mom and dad, his sister and nephew. It was a really yummy buffet with breakfast, lunch, and dessert. We ate and did presents there! We ended up watching a movie later on too.

Here are just a few of the million pictures we took when we were there, Zack's family took a few after us!

My mom and I laughing because she went in for a cute baby bump touching picture and ended up grabbing my boob instead.

My mom and I again. There was no good lighting here at this time of day as you can see the struggle in some of our faces, haha.

Lovin' on my Mom.

She is the best!

Zack and I snuck a picture for my almost first Mother's Day! Can't wait to meet you little baby, we love you!

Believe it or not, in this picture the majority of us are smiling, and out of about 11 pictures of this same stance we got one where we were all looking in the relatively same direction. That's what you get for having 4 kids mom! Messy pictures and little boy attitudes haha. My youngest brother in the black didn't change his facial expression once for any of these family shots....I think he may have opened his a little more in one of them haha little brat. But this is my younger sister and my younger brothers taking a picture with our beautiful mom on mother's day. We all love you very much!

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day and loved on your Mommies a little extra, I am sure I am going to understand the "you deserve it" phrase later down the road when my kids are making me want to pull my hair out, but for now I will just say it and hope it carries some weight! I hope all you mommies enjoyed your day because you deserve it!

XOXO

Happy Birthday Month Mom!

Last night was my Mom's 50th birthday party. Her birthday is on the 8th, but with graduation coming up and my little brother's birthday on the 15th this worked best. Her boyfriend and her closest friends threw her a birthday party at their house. They had a bartender, a Deejay, and TACO MAN! It was so fun. Of course I was sober Sally, but it was fun watching everyone and hanging out. I got to see my Aunt that I haven't seen in forever and my Uncle as well as my God mom. It was a great night. Zack was pulled onto the dance floor a few times by some sexy ladies;) he is such a trooper haha. It was good hanging out with my sister since we always miss each other when I visit home. She is at Toni and Guy and finishing up this summer and working at Sun Dried Tomato and with me being in school full time we always overlap schedules, so it was nice finally being able to hang out with her.

So before I get into birthday party stuff I will just a couple salads that I have eaten over the past couple of days. On Friday, Zack was craving el torito grill salad dressing so we went and grabbed that from the store. We roasted up some papitas, added some roma tomatoes and he made homemade corn tortilla strips to add to it.

Then we went up to San Clemente on Saturday and we were there pretty early to lay out in the sun and just relax until it was my mom's party that night. So we went to guicho's eatery in San Clemente and Zack picked up the torellini and I ordered the hearts of palm salad, deliciousness.

Now moving on to the birthday party festivities. Zack's parents met us there and they hung out for quite a while there talking to everyone. We got there right as sun was setting, we took a few pictures with my mom, my aunt, my god mom, and my sister and we started greeting all the guests. It was a really good turn out and my mom's boyfriend and her friends did and amazing job making her feel special on her day. Everyone was dancing, drinking and talking and it was definitely a nice break from thinking about finals. I just wish we could've stayed up there until this afternoon. We left Oak with my Dad at his house while we were at the party so we got back to my Dad's to grab oak close to 12 AM and then drove home and passed out. WE WERE EXHAUSTED.

These pictures are not in any particular order, I really wish I would've taken some pictures before the sun went down. The set up was gorgeous.

My mom blowing out her candles from the cake her boyfriend bought her! So cute:)

Nothing like some sexy moves ;)

A picture of Oak and I before we left him to go to the party :(...I hate leaving this little stud muffin, I can only imagine what it's going to be like when I have to leave my little baby every now and then. He doesn't mind to much though. He gets to stare and bark at everyone on the beach laying out on the deck....his favorite.

A picture of my sister and I

More cake pictures, right before we all started singing happy birthday to her :) She was a little surprised since we just interrupted her dancing haha.

More sexy moves...and some yummy dessert

My mom getting everyone to start dancing, she was getting into it. My uncle had a theory from his college days that no one dances outside, so my mom was trying to prove him wrong and she ended up winning and got everyone dancing haha, this was probably the best part of the night. Watching Zack get dragged out there with all the women was a plus.

Well, now onto "studying" for finals. NO MOTIVATION! But HEY its over in a week and then no more finals ever again.

8 Weeks Pregnant Picture

8 Weeks Pregnant Update

How far along: Going to the doctor this week this past Monday I measured at 8 weeks and 4 days. He mentioned that we will go by this time frame until the 18 week anatomy scan and that we will be able to have a more accurate due date by then. So for now I am still due on Thanksgiving! So technically I am 9 weeks today, but I will be posting a 9 week update sometime in the following week.

Symptoms: Still nauseas every other morning or so. If I am nauseas in the morning then later on that same day I will get sick again....without fail. It has been pretty manageable and not nearly as bad as it was during week 6 and 7.

Cravings:  I am craving anything that I do not have to make. For some reason I am getting so grossed out opening my own cupboard and trying to figure out a meal. Everything is grossing me out. Everything. So no intense cravings.

Aversions: Pretty much anything that I have ever eaten or anything that I usually make for myself and Zack. When we were home for Easter I was starving and my mom offered me an Amy's which was just a Gluten Free Rice Dish that you can microwave and usually when I am home you can't go wrong with Amy's, they're easy and yummy...but this time I completely broke down and started crying and got really frustrated and asked her to not even show me the Amy's. Safe to say I don't want any Amy's Gluten Free microwave dishes. My poor mom and Zack dealt with a crazy that night haha.

Wedding rings: On

Sleep: I haven't been able to sleep as much as my body wants to these past few weeks. School has picked up quite a bit before finals and I have had tests and presentations every week that require all my attention when I get home from school. There hasn't been anytime for a nap and I badly want one. I just look forward to the weekends where I can come home and just fall asleep at 7PM after watching a Dexter on Netflix with Zack.

Excited for: Graduating on May 10th and then shortly after going in for our 12-13 week ultrasound where we can see the baby's hands and feet and everything. As of right now we are just excited that our doctor told us that we were basically in the safe zone even though we aren't at 12 weeks yet.

Missing: Having energy and motivation to do just about anything at all. I was told that I can now start working out normally again after I had some spotting at 6 weeks. I was told to take 2 weeks off and that was hard, but then again I don't think my body's level of energy would have let me do anything draining. I am missing eating like a normal person and not hating everything or getting grossed out by everything.

Movement: None

Dr. update: I am weaning off of the progesterone suppositories because he said everything is looking good. We saw the umbilical cord in the last ultrasound and that was pretty exciting. I can workout normally, he said to keep my heart rate below 150...so I can what? walk fast? I don't know about that....I think we are gonna have to compromise and come to some sort of agreement on what a work out actual is haha.

Exercise: Nothing other than walking the puppy love around the neighborhood with Zack every day. Spoiled pup gets a walk every single day, but really he just goes for the "kitty sightings", he is so intrigued by them. I have also been going up to Zack's work and using the gym there and just taking it easy on the elliptical every now and then. I stopped my HIIT workouts when I found out I was pregnant just in case, but I am going to slowly start incorporating a few a week along with some walks with the puppy around the neighborhood.

So that's the update for 8 weeks, I usually post my updates towards the end of each week so I will be doing the same for my 9 week one. Until then I will still be posting!

                                       Have a great night!

WE'RE PREGNANT!

EXCITING NEWS!!!

WE ARE PREGNANT!
The reason why we are sharing the news so early is because I don't think our families understood we were waiting to tell people haha.  My mom kept saying to me she couldn't stop, she was out of control and anyone that came into her boutique to shop and had a story...she had to top it with, my daughter's pregnant! We figured by the time 12 weeks rolled around and we were in the safe zone to tell people that everyone would've been like...."ummm, yeah we knew that already..." NO FUN! Going to my OB yesterday he assured me there are very slim chances of anything going wrong after you hear the baby's heartbeat.  The doctor wasn't in the office yesterday, but he had called me and said to go in for an ultrasound, that I was far enough along to hear the heartbeat.  Sure enough we did and the nurse immediately said, "yep! that's a strong heartbeat." I started crying and fell in love immediately. It makes it so much more real after hearing the heartbeat. Before it just felt like there was something inside of me making me hungry and irritable all the time, something that wanted to go to bed for the night at 2PM and something that loved vegetables last week and this week cannot stand the sight of them. A little gremlin! BUT after hearing the heartbeat, it was shocking, it felt like I was actually taking care of something and knowing that the little jelly bean's heart is just beating away in there is so exciting. However, we do know that in life things happen, if anything were to go wrong we have support from those who loves us. We told people early and announced it early, but there are people that miscarry at 13 weeks, a week after announcing their great news, some people miscarry in the third trimester, or some people miscarry right before they are about to announce. Things happen and there is no "right" time for every person to tell. For us, it was announcing it at close to 7 weeks. We are young, healthy, and all we can hope for is a healthy baby. Now our parents can feel free to blab to whoever and we can stop worrying about the "what if's" and actually get excited. Positive thinking!!!

Oak is gonna have to get used to a new brother or sister here really soon!

Just a little jelly bean!

SO EXCITING!

Some Vanilla Ice Cream with Frozen Berries on top for Dessert!

A Yummy Green Smoothie, Always a Delicious SNACK! In the Vitamix Of Course!!!

So today I have just been getting some laundry done and getting the house kinda cleaned up. After school starting up again this last week I needed to get back on track around the house. Zack has been living it up at a 5 star hotel about 35 minutes from our house for a work conference....so its just been the pup and I since last night, but he is choosing to come home to sleep here tonight instead :)....I love that man ;)

I have also managed to get in a low key work out, I didn't push myself too hard today which is fine, but I just wanted to get a work out in....not too bad for an easier day though! I love my polar watch.

What is everyone else up to today?
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Our Extra-Long Weekend!

HEY READERS!

We had a long weekend that started on Thursday last week...in short, I cleaned the house, did laundry, packed our stuff up in the car and drove up to San Clemente on Thursday afternoon around 2:30 pm. We went to visit my mom's boutique and see my brothers and then drive over to my dads house. Zack, Oak, and I stayed in the spare room at my dads house.

Friday morning, we woke up, had breakfast with my dad, got ready for the day and went and walked around del mar where my mom's store is located. I got my hair trimmed next door at the salon and Zack walked Oak down to the pier. We then went to visit Zack's parents and went to dinner with them. We were exhausted and just wanted to sleep in our own bed so we drove an hour back down to our house in San Diego to sleep!

We woke up on Saturday morning, got showered and ready and all three of us jumped back in the car to head back up to San Clemente to watch my brother's soccer game that started at 1pm. We love watching him play and it is always more enjoyable when it isn't so hot out! Especially for those poor lil' guys out on the field.

So here is kind of a few pictures of what our weekend entailed....

Zack was hosing down my mom's patio and Oak, being the water-hater that he is, hid in the bushes...totally camouflaged. Can't even spot him;).

Trying to sneak a picture of Oak and I at my Dad's house on Saturday morning....wasn't gonna happen. This pup senses the camera and bails!

Driving back up to visit our families on Saturday morning and to watch my brother's game. Giving the puppy some lovins'.

Oak facing the wrong way guarding Zack and I at my brother's soccer game.

Just a quick picture as the boys are all on the other side of the field:)

Saturday night, Zack, Oak, and I came back home and Zack and I watched some of "This is the End" and we stopped it half way through and went to sleep because I was exhausted. He had already seen it, but I hadn't so we finished it in the morning. Seriously, so funny! I love all of those actors and it was hysterical!!!

Sunday morning, we woke up and finished the movie, got ready, went grocery shopping, put groceries away, took a nap (which we never do) and woke up and just relaxed, had dinner, all those relaxing Sunday chores....you know how it goes. Then we got in bed around 10:45 pm and Zack started Iron Man 3 on his lap top. I swore I was going to go to bed, but I had to watch it. I made him stop it about an hour into the movie so we could finish it tonight! Haha!
