37 Weeks Pregnant Picture

37 Weeks Pregnant Update: Full Term

How far along: I am 37 weeks and 5 days/6 days pregnant in the pictures!

SymptomsHeartburn every now and then, nothing too bad lately since baby has dropped; Boobs hurt every now and then and still leaking; Losing more of mucus plug (yum); Exhausted lately; Nesting like a crazy person; Feeling "ready" but also anxious that we aren't ready; Back pain every now and then; Cramping every now and then; Weird tendon pain in my inner thigh when she moves around, it only happens in my left thigh; Peeing all of the time; Pressure down low; Her movements still kind of hurt; Forgetful still and I am sure there are a million other symptoms I am just not recalling right now

Cravings: Nope

Aversions: No not really!

Wedding rings: Zack made me take them off this week just in case. I am starting to swell a bit more and he doesn't want me to be in pain or have to worry about suddenly blowing up like a balloon and having to cut them off, so for now they are sitting in a pretty little dish just in case ;)

Sleep: Not really...and it feels really weird sleeping in a queen sized bed now. Zack and I always slept in a full sized bed ever since we were married, but we upgraded when we moved to our new place and now I feel like he isn't even in bed with me at night. I wake up and make him scoot closer to me so I think for that reason I haven't been sleeping as well. Normally I fall asleep holding him but he feels miles away in those few extra inches haha. However, I also haven't been sleeping much because I am just feeling super anxious and feeling like there is always something that needs to be done. I feel very awake when I get up to the use the bathroom at night. I was sleeping well last week, but this week I just want to be awake all night and asleep all day.

Excited for: FINALLY MEETING THIS BABY. I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN PREGNANT FOREVER.

Missing: I am not really missing anything right now other than my old body. After being pregnant for most of the year you hit a point where you are like, 'okay I'm done'. I know I am going to miss this bump when she is here, but all I can think about right now is how badly I want her here so it is hard to appreciate all her little punches and movements when I am just wanting to see her little face!

Movement: The movements have definitely calmed down now. She is slowing, but she has crazy movement outbursts throughout the day. She is lodging under my rib every now and then still, but nothing too uncomfortable since she dropped lower. I feel like I can breathe a bit now.

Dr. update: She has gained weight finally and is at a safe weight to be delivered! Looks like bed rest and carboloading helped. He was way less concerned this doctors visit considering she is now in the 6 pound range where before she was less than 5 pounds. The doctor still wants to be seeing me for non-stress tests twice a week to make sure she is safe and doing well. I had an exam and I am 2cm dilated. This doesn't really mean anything other than I dilate. My mom never dilated so there was some concern on her part there, but good news is that I do! Woo! Oh and she has tons of hair apparently!

Exercise: Running errands, moving into our new place and taking our dog on nightly walks is the only exercise I have been doing. I haven't really stuck to bed rest...I've just been taking it significantly easier on the exercise and allowing her to gain the weight that she needs to.

Stretch marks: Nope

Swelling: Yes, I am now having some swelling in my hands and a little in my feet. You can still see bones and tendons, but for me it is noticeable...My mom and I got our nails done today and she noticed my feet had some swelling for the first time also. Welcome to the last few weeks!

Maternity clothes: Haven't purchased any maternity clothes. The only maternity clothes I have now worn are the BLANQI leggings that were sent to me and the BLANQI top that was sent to me. Other than that I am still living in what I already own and hoping I don't have to test the limits of my clothes much longer.

Labor signs: Braxton Hicks have subsided since I have been taking it easier with the exercise. I was having pre labor signs last few weeks and the second I hit full term...NOTHING. I mean NOTHING. After my cervical exam I had some light spotting/losing mucus plug, but other than that I haven't had a single labor sign. I will get a noticeable BH contraction a few times a day, but nothing near what I was experiencing last week or so. I am kinda bummed by that and really wishing there were some signs of her arrival day approaching, but sadly there are not.

What I am loving: Finally being in our place and getting settled here. I have decorated for Christmas and everything feels like it is slowly coming together.

Best moment of this week: Decorating for Christmas and getting settled in our place. That is kinda why the pictures this week are lacking! I didn't have time to set aside a moment to really document the 37th week in pictures, but hopefully I won't have to do too many more of these pregnancy updates. I am 38 weeks tomorrow so I am really hoping she shows her face soon!

31 Weeks Pregnant Picture

31 Weeks Pregnant Update

How far along: 31 weeks and 6 days pregnant in the pictures, tomorrow I will be 32 weeks. Cutting it close on this blog update this week! But I made it....barely!

Symptoms: Peeing; Braxton Hicks; Heartburn with spicy food; Leaking boobs still (yum); Boobs have been hurting this week; Leg numbness before bed a few nights a week; Breathing is hard before bed and when I am more bloated; Sleeping has been difficult still; I forget everything...I forget where I put my phone, where I put my brush, where I put my keys, I do not remember anything!

Cravings: None really

Aversions: Mehh none that I can think of right now

Wedding rings: On

Sleep: Here and there, but peeing up to 5 times a night so not much!

Excited for: I am excited for the baby shower! My mom and I went and got a bunch of crafts and we will be working on those for the next couple of weeks in preparation for the baby shower!

Missing: Sleeping, breathing, and working out normally.

Movement:  All of the time! As always! She is constantly moving and now it is easier to feel all of her limbs and hands and feet it is so crazy!

Dr. update: I go again on Monday for an ultrasound, and I have to say...I am sick of going to the doctors office....I would rather she just be here haha.

Exercise: Walking + eliptical still

Stretch marks: No new ones on my boobs, we will see when my milk comes in. The tiny ones I did get on my boobs are already fading so that is a good sign. No stretch marks anywhere else. Using a bunch of lotions and oils every single day and night, so hopefully that helps in some way!

Swelling: I think I have some feet swelling at the end of the day if I am standing all day, but nothing really noticeable! My hands swell after I work out, but that is fixed after an hour after my workout.

Maternity clothes: Still no maternity clothes, who knows! Maybe I will need to get some this month...maybe not! Trying to make it work without buying any for now.

Labor signs: Nope!

What I am loving:  I am loving getting ready for the baby shower. So exciting!!! So many crafts!

Best moment of this week: As I am sure I have said a million times already this blog post, the best moment this week has been working on crafts for the baby shower. Getting a bunch of decorations and making a bunch of decorations! Can't wait! It is so girly and fun!

Had to throw in the corny picture of Zack.

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF OCTOBER! NEXT MONTH IS BABY MONTH!

29 Weeks Pregnant Picture

29 Weeks Pregnant Update

How far along: I am 29 weeks and 5 days pregnant in the pictures!!! Yikes! Getting so close! Never thought I would be here!!!

Symptoms: Peeing like every 5 seconds; Leg numbness; Braxton Hicks contractions; Some heart burn here and there; Dizziness (especially in this heat); I forget everything...nothing new but it has gotten progressively worse; Leg cramps at night--the ones that make you wanna die!

Cravings: Not really any cravings still, kind of just going with the flow food wise and eating what sounds good in the moment, so no real cravings at all!

Aversions: Anything super greasy like burgers and stuff! Avoid heartburn at all costs!

Wedding rings: On

Sleep: Nope! I am still really struggling to sleep & Zack now has an affinity for my body pillow in the middle of the night. I have to pry it from him as he sleeps soundly... pillow jacker!

Excited for: I am getting excited to see her, after doing the 3D or 4D whatever-you-call-it ultrasound all I can think about is her face and how I wanna see it now! I can't wait! She has a huge mouth and the biggest lips on the ultrasound so it will be interesting to see how she looks when she is born!

Missing: I am still missing weather that didn't make me want to rip all my clothes off. I dread getting up in the morning because being pregnant in this heat wave is a whole other kind of struggle...I feel like a slug as it is and add 100 degree weather into the mix and all I wanna do is sit by a fan naked all day!

Movement:  She moves all the time and I am starting to be able to feel what body parts are where when she moves. We feel knees all the time and her back and her little hands! She gets hiccups fairly often which is funny because it looks like my belly is twitching!

Dr. update: She is head down and in the correct position. We start seeing him every 2 weeks now so I will see him next Monday for more updates. From here on out I think baby is just getting fatter and remaining head down so hopefully she stays that way and starts plumping up!

Exercise: Still working out as often as I can. I have gotten so SLOW, I feel like I am just waddling around doing nothing when I am on a walk. This heat has been a little difficult to work out hard in so I have been doing light walks with the pup and trying to stay cool. I got really dizzy yesterday after working out in this heat and felt like I was going to throw up and my head was spinning for hours! Trying to take it easy! Today Zack and I just walked around the mall to get my exercise where there is air conditioning :)

Stretch marks: Nope!

Swelling: I assume I must be in this hot weather! But nothing really noticeable!

Maternity clothes: No maternity clothes, I really would rather not wear clothes right now, too HOT. So I am still just kind of living in my normal clothes I had before pregnancy and sticking to workout pants and all that!

Labor signs: Nope!

What I am loving:  I am loving her movements now. They are so fun to just sit back and watch!!!

Best moment of this week:  My mom and I dealt with some family matters and I would say that was a monumental moment this week. Definitely!

27 Weeks Pregnant Picture

27 Weeks Pregnant Update

How far along: I am 27 weeks and 5 days pregnant in the pictures...28 weeks tomorrow! Yay!

Symptoms:Peeing often; I am now experiencing a lot of leg numbness in both legs; I cannot sleep well still; Boobs leaking still; Heartburn every now and then after something spicy; Braxton Hicks; I think I am feeling her hiccup now too!!!!

Cravings: No cravings really...

Aversions: Anything too heavy or greasy

Wedding rings: On

Sleep: Oh that? Doesn't exist. I do not sleep...I want to sleep, but that isn't happening

Excited for: Meeting her, as always.

Missing: I think I am missing my old body again...sometimes the adjustment is hard to deal with, but I also know I am being healthy and active and growing our little one. Usually any self conscious thoughts about my new body subside after a few moments and I realize this is all temporary and it will all be worth it! I am also missing sleep. I really miss sleeping comfortably and being able to cuddle zack without having to move around every five seconds.

Movement:  BIG TIME! She moves 24/7 and she is rowdy!!!

Dr. update: Glucose test coming up on Monday

Exercise: Still at it! Definitely getting much harder, I can feel myself getting slower, but just because I feel slow now and can't see the results of working out throughout my pregnancy I know that I will after I have her and during labor when I have endurance!

Stretch marks: Nope.

Swelling: After working out, if hands are down by my sides, that is about the only time though. Same as last week.

Maternity clothes: Still no maternity clothes!

Labor signs: Nope!

What I am loving:  I am enjoying her craziness, I feel like she has a little personality already. I think she may end up being a complete crazy girl and I am excited to see if she is just as rambunctious when she is here with us!

Best moment of this week:  Just getting excited with Zack when she moves around, he can feel limbs distinctly now so it is fun to share her with him even though I am the one growing her. It is just a fun time in pregnancy being able to share it with Zack and both get to experience her little (huge) movements!

18 Weeks Pregnant Picture

18 Weeks Pregnant Update!

It's so funny how much more 'bloated' the belly looks when I do not take them first thing in the morning. The size of the belly also differs throughout the week...depending on what I eat or how much water I am retaining that day. I am trying to stay active so I don't bloat so much. But there is definitely a difference in the pictures above in contrast to the pictures below where I had just worked out and not really drank any water or eaten anything yet.

How far along: I am 18 weeks and 5 days in the top pictures!

Symptoms: Tailbone pain, occasional breakouts, moody when hungry, moody when tired, boobs have been hurting a lot this week and I don't think I can afford for them to get any bigger...you need like three hands to fully cup one of them, back hurts when standing or sitting for a long time...so tons of issues this week haha.

Cravings:  Not really any cravings this week...I keep wanting cake and I am so NOT a baked goods person. My weakness is candy and candy only, but cake...a really fresh cake sounds good and no I will NOT be giving into that craving haha.

Aversions: No specific aversions this week, but when Zack suggests something to eat I normally feel strongly against it or fully for it, so it kind of depends on the day.

Wedding rings: On

Sleep: I have been napping a lot this week for some reason. I tell Zack to set an alarm for 30 minutes and then he tries to wake me and I am asleep for 3 hours. I am not a heavy napper normally so I think she must be going through a major growth spurt this week or something.

Excited for: Still really excited for the anatomy scan coming up soon! Can't wait to see her!

Missing: Having more energy and less restrictions. Not being able to lift certain things that are too heavy or just feeling limited in general. I have been okay with the whole pregnant in summer this week & loving that my body is just growing our little baby.

Movement: I feel her moving all of the time and Zack feels her move all of the time too. My mom has felt her move as well. She is super active in the morning and in the afternoon...and then a bit before bed. I can see her kicks all of the time too, they are so cute and little.

Dr. update: We go back soon for the big scan!

Exercise: I still get out and exercise everyday. I have been going on a lot of early early morning walks with Oak. We get up at around 5:15 AM and go on an hour to an hour and a half walk. I am burning tons of calories, just not as quickly as I used to with my other workouts, but I am still replenishing them at breakfast and throughout the day. Just staying active and healthy so labor is hopefully easier and so it won't be such a pain to take off any baby weight later.

These pictures were taken after my workout first thing in the morning during the 18th week and you can still see muscle tone so that's a good sign! You just can't see it in the pictures above because I had drank water and eaten a little something I believe. It is also funny to see the belly at the very end of the day when I look huge....

17 Weeks Pregnant Picture

So here is the 17 weeks pregnant update!

How far along: I am 17 weeks 6 days pregnant! 18 weeks tomorrow!

Symptoms: A lot of tailbone pain when I am laying in one spot for too long or sitting for too long, it also happens on long walks. Definitely feeling bloated and light headed still...

Cravings:  I never eat fish tacos, but the past few days fish tacos sounded good...I don't think I have ever ordered fish tacos in my life. Today Zack and I had fish tacos so that was one craving that I have definitely had and then successfully taken care of, no need for any more haha.

Aversions: Really heavy foods like heavy, saucy meals sound kinda gross to me. Fresh foods have been sounding the best.

Wedding rings: On

Sleep: Every few days I will need a nap, but for the most part I am not feeling like I need to nap every single day. Definitely feeling more energetic in comparison to first trimester, but still sleepier in comparison to not being pregnant.

Excited for: Now I am just counting down the days until our anatomy scan. I will be well into week 20 as I am with all of my ultrasounds so its nice seeing just a tad more development than if I were to be going exactly at week 20 or exactly at week 16. Having my ultrasounds in the middle of the week is nice because we get that extra bit of development. I am also excited for the 4th of July, even though it is going to be an extremely sober holiday haha! But our family from Utah is flying out and staying for a few weeks so Zack and I are excited to spend time with all of them!

Missing: As always in the summer you want to be looking your best so I am missing a bikini body, but I am also excited knowing that by the end of this year we are gonna have a little nugget to call our own and I can get my body in tip top shape for next summer during the winter time!

Movement: We feel her moving all the time now. It is so crazy and fun to feel her moving around in there. I never feel like I am alone, I got a little gremlin messing around in there. Zack loves to feel her move and she is extremely responsive to when Zack and I have conversations or when he is talking. She is also very active when I am getting ready to eat, I think that when I am excited for food she is getting excited haha.

Dr. update: We go back in a couple weeks! Yay! I love seeing her.

Exercise: Exercising daily. Still feeling slower physically...not from an endurance stand point, but my legs actually feel like they get tired sooner, which is so weird because that used to never happen. But I am sticking with it and enjoying the long walks before my day gets going or towards the end of the day.

This picture was taken a few hours before the picture above was taken. I woke up early to go on a morning walk with Oak and Zack and this is pre-breakfast. The bump always looks so much smaller before I eat anything and before my day really gets started. It is so funny because by the end of the day I look like I am 7 months pregnant and then I go to sleep, wake up and we start again. It is definitely growing though and I am enjoying feeling her get bigger everyday! I am glad I am able to stay healthy for her and myself.

This was a day or so before both pictures were taken. Zack and I (+ Oak) outside enjoying juice we had just made in the juicer. Carrots, oranges, lemon, ginger, and a ton or spinach and some granny smith apples. Definitely been avoiding my weakness, which is candy, and going for more juice and smoothies instead.
