37 Weeks Pregnant Picture

37 Weeks Pregnant Update: Full Term

How far along: I am 37 weeks and 5 days/6 days pregnant in the pictures!

SymptomsHeartburn every now and then, nothing too bad lately since baby has dropped; Boobs hurt every now and then and still leaking; Losing more of mucus plug (yum); Exhausted lately; Nesting like a crazy person; Feeling "ready" but also anxious that we aren't ready; Back pain every now and then; Cramping every now and then; Weird tendon pain in my inner thigh when she moves around, it only happens in my left thigh; Peeing all of the time; Pressure down low; Her movements still kind of hurt; Forgetful still and I am sure there are a million other symptoms I am just not recalling right now

Cravings: Nope

Aversions: No not really!

Wedding rings: Zack made me take them off this week just in case. I am starting to swell a bit more and he doesn't want me to be in pain or have to worry about suddenly blowing up like a balloon and having to cut them off, so for now they are sitting in a pretty little dish just in case ;)

Sleep: Not really...and it feels really weird sleeping in a queen sized bed now. Zack and I always slept in a full sized bed ever since we were married, but we upgraded when we moved to our new place and now I feel like he isn't even in bed with me at night. I wake up and make him scoot closer to me so I think for that reason I haven't been sleeping as well. Normally I fall asleep holding him but he feels miles away in those few extra inches haha. However, I also haven't been sleeping much because I am just feeling super anxious and feeling like there is always something that needs to be done. I feel very awake when I get up to the use the bathroom at night. I was sleeping well last week, but this week I just want to be awake all night and asleep all day.

Excited for: FINALLY MEETING THIS BABY. I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN PREGNANT FOREVER.

Missing: I am not really missing anything right now other than my old body. After being pregnant for most of the year you hit a point where you are like, 'okay I'm done'. I know I am going to miss this bump when she is here, but all I can think about right now is how badly I want her here so it is hard to appreciate all her little punches and movements when I am just wanting to see her little face!

Movement: The movements have definitely calmed down now. She is slowing, but she has crazy movement outbursts throughout the day. She is lodging under my rib every now and then still, but nothing too uncomfortable since she dropped lower. I feel like I can breathe a bit now.

Dr. update: She has gained weight finally and is at a safe weight to be delivered! Looks like bed rest and carboloading helped. He was way less concerned this doctors visit considering she is now in the 6 pound range where before she was less than 5 pounds. The doctor still wants to be seeing me for non-stress tests twice a week to make sure she is safe and doing well. I had an exam and I am 2cm dilated. This doesn't really mean anything other than I dilate. My mom never dilated so there was some concern on her part there, but good news is that I do! Woo! Oh and she has tons of hair apparently!

Exercise: Running errands, moving into our new place and taking our dog on nightly walks is the only exercise I have been doing. I haven't really stuck to bed rest...I've just been taking it significantly easier on the exercise and allowing her to gain the weight that she needs to.

Stretch marks: Nope

Swelling: Yes, I am now having some swelling in my hands and a little in my feet. You can still see bones and tendons, but for me it is noticeable...My mom and I got our nails done today and she noticed my feet had some swelling for the first time also. Welcome to the last few weeks!

Maternity clothes: Haven't purchased any maternity clothes. The only maternity clothes I have now worn are the BLANQI leggings that were sent to me and the BLANQI top that was sent to me. Other than that I am still living in what I already own and hoping I don't have to test the limits of my clothes much longer.

Labor signs: Braxton Hicks have subsided since I have been taking it easier with the exercise. I was having pre labor signs last few weeks and the second I hit full term...NOTHING. I mean NOTHING. After my cervical exam I had some light spotting/losing mucus plug, but other than that I haven't had a single labor sign. I will get a noticeable BH contraction a few times a day, but nothing near what I was experiencing last week or so. I am kinda bummed by that and really wishing there were some signs of her arrival day approaching, but sadly there are not.

What I am loving: Finally being in our place and getting settled here. I have decorated for Christmas and everything feels like it is slowly coming together.

Best moment of this week: Decorating for Christmas and getting settled in our place. That is kinda why the pictures this week are lacking! I didn't have time to set aside a moment to really document the 37th week in pictures, but hopefully I won't have to do too many more of these pregnancy updates. I am 38 weeks tomorrow so I am really hoping she shows her face soon!

36 Weeks Pregnant Picture

36 Weeks Pregnant Update

How far along: I am 36 weeks and 4 days pregnant in the pictures!

Symptoms: Heartburn; Peeing; A lot of pressure down low!!! I mean A LOT, to the point where she pushes so hard down there that I have to stop walking; I have a lot of energy to begin nesting and I have had this weird compelling energy to organize and nest for about 2 weeks now; Boobs hurt on and off; Boobs leaking; Possibly losing mucous plug slowly since last week or so I believe; I feel like she has dropped quite a bit, because I am peeing constantly again; Sleeping a little bit better at night but still getting up pretty early in the morning with insomnia! BRAXTON HICKS; PAIN IN BACK AND LEGS!

Cravings: Nope

Aversions: No not really!

Wedding rings: On

Sleep: I have been sleeping a little better, so it seems. It could be that she has possibly dropped lower and that gives me a bit more breathing room!

Excited for: Meeting her! & we move into our new place tomorrow! YAY!

Missing: Cold weather. We had a few teaser days this weekend where it was "freezing" and I just loved being bundled up and cozy! I am missing wearing all of my clothes that fit. I feel like I am confined to one wardrobe and I really do not have any intention of buying any maternity clothes this late in the game so it would be nice to get back into some of my old clothes!

Movement: Oh yeah, she is definitely practicing torpedo-ing outta there too. Random sharp jolts of her head stabbing my cervix has been quite pleasant this week...

Dr. update: Continuing to do non-stress tests and everything is going fine. She is healthy and I am healthy. Placenta is normal for this stage of pregnancy and everything is working well. I am just sticking to "laying low" instead of working out like my doctor asked. He is not worried about her size so much that he just wants to be cautious and make sure she is as fat as she can be before she is born! Babies lose some weight after being born so he wants to make sure there is some room for her to do so!

Exercise: Nope. Other than running errands I have been asked to stop exercising so she can gain weight.

Stretch marks: Nope

Swelling: Nope nothing noticeable in hands or feet, I am sure there is some swelling, but nothing to complain about!

Maternity clothes: Nope and I am thinking I am gonna be opting out of them, I do not see myself getting any seeing that she can be born at anytime now.

Labor signs: Tons of Braxton Hicks, I was actually having them fairly close together and so I had a glass of wine and took an epsom salt bath to try and relax so that I wouldn't trigger any more contractions. They were extremely strong and painful and some of them made me want to cry! I think that there is a chance maybe my body is just practicing for the real deal right now with all of this early labor shenanigans!

What I am loving: I am loving getting ready to get into our new place. We will be able to organize all of her stuff from the shower, get her crib set up and I can actually get a good nights sleep and I am just excited for all of this change! It is happening so quickly. Hopefully it makes time fly so I feel like she will be here sooner!

Best moment of this week: Definitely getting stuff for our new place, it has been a long haul and a summer of house hopping between parents houses and it will be nice to start nesting and getting prepared. I am slowly feeling more and more prepared. Zack, my mom and I just went to a hospital tour tonight and bailed early after we filled out the paper work for the hospital so I won't have to do it when I am in labor. Just getting little things like that accomplished make my week and make me feel like we are one step closer to being prepared to welcome home our sweet girl!

28 Weeks Pregnant Picture

28 Weeks Pregnant Update

How far along: I am 28 weeks and 5 days pregnant in the pictures! (except the workout one at the bottom, I think I was a few days into the 28th week)

Symptoms: Peeing all of the time still; Leg numbness has gotten worse this week, it is on and off, but mostly around the time I am trying to fall asleep or when I am working out; She is definitely starting to "feel" heavier when I am walking I feel like she is just on my bladder all of the time; I am a lot more tired this week, these past few weeks I have had a fair amount of energy, but this week I am super tired! Oh and Braxton Hicks a lot!

Cravings: I haven't had any cravings yet...Zack has more 'cravings' than I do and I like to give him a hard time for it haha

Aversions: We have been having Mexican food way too much & I normally like Mexican food all of the time, but right now I am DONE with it for sure!

Wedding rings: On

Sleep: Not happening...I did get one good nights rest last night though! So that was nice!!!

Excited for: I am excited for meeting her, but the closer we get the more nervous I am getting too!

Missing: I am missing FALL weather, what is this 90 degree summer weather!?!?! I wanna be in cozy clothes and giant cardigans! I know that in Southern California September and October are often our warmest months, but this is hot!

Movement:  She moves all the time, like a crazy person! She was doing circles all around today all day...just circling and circling and would hit my bladder as she would complete a lap around each time...I think she was counting how many times she could circle around in there. I was definitely aware of how many laps this little one did! She is strong!!!

Dr. update: Passed the glucose test! WOO! I was worried even though I have been eating healthy and working out all pregnancy, it was still something I was stressing about so I am happy that is over! She is no longer in the breach position she is now head down. I know that for the first 25 weeks or so they are moving around everywhere and it doesn't really matter the position. But from what I have read they still have a lot of room in there, but will be working on positioning themselves head down. I was a breach baby so anytime we can see her working on that head down position is a good day for me! She is only 2 lbs and 9 oz which is smaller than normal (43%) the doctor said, but he also said that she will probably be around 6.5-7 lbs when she is born! I am not complaining about that! Zack and I were both relatively small babies so it makes sense!

Exercise: Still working out! I definitely feel heavier and feel like I am not as energetic, but I am making an effort to workout almost every day during the week...if not every day. I had to take a day off this week because I have been having Braxton Hicks from over doing it too often and for too long during the day, so I have tried to relax a little bit!

Stretch marks: Nope.

Swelling: After working out still! I am sure these feet are gonna start swelling up here pretty soon!

Maternity clothes: Still haven't purchased any maternity clothes...I am sure I am cutting it close and will eventually need some! We will see!

Labor signs: Nope!

What I am loving:  I loved seeing how big she was this week! We hadn't seen her in a while and I was missing her sweet little face! However, she was hiding it the whole time. She had her hands covering her face the entire ultrasound haha it was frustrating and funny at the same time!

Best moment of this week:  Seeing her on the ultrasound! Seeing how much she has grown!!!

27 Weeks Pregnant Picture

27 Weeks Pregnant Update

How far along: I am 27 weeks and 5 days pregnant in the pictures...28 weeks tomorrow! Yay!

Symptoms:Peeing often; I am now experiencing a lot of leg numbness in both legs; I cannot sleep well still; Boobs leaking still; Heartburn every now and then after something spicy; Braxton Hicks; I think I am feeling her hiccup now too!!!!

Cravings: No cravings really...

Aversions: Anything too heavy or greasy

Wedding rings: On

Sleep: Oh that? Doesn't exist. I do not sleep...I want to sleep, but that isn't happening

Excited for: Meeting her, as always.

Missing: I think I am missing my old body again...sometimes the adjustment is hard to deal with, but I also know I am being healthy and active and growing our little one. Usually any self conscious thoughts about my new body subside after a few moments and I realize this is all temporary and it will all be worth it! I am also missing sleep. I really miss sleeping comfortably and being able to cuddle zack without having to move around every five seconds.

Movement:  BIG TIME! She moves 24/7 and she is rowdy!!!

Dr. update: Glucose test coming up on Monday

Exercise: Still at it! Definitely getting much harder, I can feel myself getting slower, but just because I feel slow now and can't see the results of working out throughout my pregnancy I know that I will after I have her and during labor when I have endurance!

Stretch marks: Nope.

Swelling: After working out, if hands are down by my sides, that is about the only time though. Same as last week.

Maternity clothes: Still no maternity clothes!

Labor signs: Nope!

What I am loving:  I am enjoying her craziness, I feel like she has a little personality already. I think she may end up being a complete crazy girl and I am excited to see if she is just as rambunctious when she is here with us!

Best moment of this week:  Just getting excited with Zack when she moves around, he can feel limbs distinctly now so it is fun to share her with him even though I am the one growing her. It is just a fun time in pregnancy being able to share it with Zack and both get to experience her little (huge) movements!

25 Weeks Pregnant Picture

25 Weeks Pregnant Update

Yes, here we go, the most unflattering angle ever. BAM. There is it for ya. Thanks Zack, appreciate it. Even worse...I decided that the best time to take this picture was SECONDS after lunch. So I don't know how much baby bump we are seeing as much as we are seeing my full stomach far above my belly button because that's where my growing uterus has smashed it. Is this an accurate picture? No probably not, but every day with this bump is different. Some days it is like where is it? Other days its like I cannot believe I have to get bigger than this, some days I am bloated and other days all you see is this weird little egg shaped belly...so pregnancy is weird and I am just accepting that these pictures are going to slowly become more unflattering and maybe next time Zack won't be standing at the bottom of the steps facing the camera upwards, what pregnant girl wants to see herself like that!?!?! Haha, so here we go! Week 25 wrapped up!

How far along: I am 25 weeks and 6 days pregnant in the picture, tomorrow I will be 26 weeks! I have been really bad about taking pictures earlier in the week again. I need to fix that.

Symptoms: Peeing all of the time; Belly button pain (sharp pains) like she is pulling on it or kicking it...I did have an umbilical hernia when I was a baby so maybe that is part of the reason? All I know is that it kills; Headaches if I do not eat first thing in the morning, kind of feels like a hang over; Nail growth is insane, I just had to cut mine and they looked like they were acrylics; Boobs have been hurting and feeling hard in places, I assume this is due to the fact that I am leaking and it must just be build up of some sort (yumm).

Cravings: I have been craving candy a lot more this week and gave in twice, I will not be doing that again though and I make sure it is candy with a very low amount of sugar! Other than that, no cravings at all...its actually kind of a pain finding food I do want to eat. Fruit is always good and I am still really enjoying eating fruit all the time.

Aversions: Nothing really, I am not too into food lately.

Wedding rings: On

Sleep: Wow, I do not sleep. I pee all night. I do not even know how I have to pee this much either because I am pretty sure I do not drink enough water to be equivalent to the amount I pee at night. I took a nap this week, something I never give into...but then I realized, these are the last few months where I will be able to nap whenever the hell I feel like it...so I napped and it felt amazing.

Excited for: Meeting this baby of ours. I am getting so anxious. I keep having dreams about her and I had a dream the other night of what she would look like and now I just want her here. I cannot wait to snuggle her all winter long.

Missing: Back to missing my old workouts. Adapting to my body changing as well and realizing I am going to be able to work out as much as I want once this baby love of ours is born. I am missing normal sleep...I am missing not peeing all the time and I am missing normal clothes! I love her so much that all of this is irrelevant in the long run and it is going to be so rewarding once we have her here with us.

Movement:  ALL THE TIME. I will spoon Zack as we fall asleep and he feels her kicking his back...he says, "I can feel her kicking me" and I say, "yeah, imagine how I feel!" This girl is strong! She gets really aggressive when I am hungry. I have not been doing to well on eating small meals throughout the day because of all the hopping around we do. When I do eat she does this wave like motion movement like she is satisfied. It is really funny! She just kicks and hits all day long and I love knowing I have a little buddy with me at all times....even when she kicks my bladder.

Dr. update: I have my glucose test coming up so that will be the next Dr. update.

Exercise: Still working out every day, this week has been a little less because I have been having some intense abdominal/belly button pain, but I am sticking with it and walk Oak around all the time or workout on the eliptical. I just cannot wait until I can get back to hard workouts. I love a good sweat! When I finally get to I will just have a little person hanging out with me!

Stretch marks: Nope.

Swelling: If my hands are down by my sides when I workout then they will be a little bit more swollen, but that usually subsides within hours.

Maternity clothes: Nope! Still holding out. I am going to try and hold out as long as I can, unless I see something I have to have then I will wait!

Labor signs: Nope!

What I am loving: I am loving how quickly it is going by, it is always one day closer to seeing my little love. I am also trying to savor the moments of being pregnant, it is just hard when you are sleep deprived haha!

Best moment of this week:  Feeling her kick and move around is always the best. Zack and I play music for her at night and talk to her before bed and when we wake up in the morning. I love watching him talk to her. If she is moving out of control and going crazy he puts his hand on my tummy and she will either immediately halt and make me look crazy or she will keep moving like a maniac and do a little dance performance for her daddy. I cannot wait to see him with her.

22 Weeks Pregnant Picture

22 Weeks Pregnant Update!

How far along: I am 22 weeks and 5 days pregnant in the picture! (Tomorrow I will be 23 weeks yay!)

Symptoms: Lower back ache every so often; Dizziness occasionally; Leaking from nipples already (yum); Hard to sleep at night (pee 2-3) times a night; Peeing all day...

Cravings: Haven't really had any cravings, I haven't really been into food lately. A lot of food just isn't appealing to me right now...not because of morning sickness I just think my hormones are finally leveling out.

Aversions: Just food in general, I have been having a lot of smoothies instead and getting sick of my dinner after a few bites.

Wedding rings: On

Sleep: No naps, but I haven't been sleeping great at night. I can't remember the last time I slept through the whole night. I am up peeing all the time and it is getting harder to get comfortable.

Excited for: Watching her continuously grow! My belly is much more prominent now & it is crazy to think she is the size of an eggplant in there.

Missing: Old workouts, my old body (every now and then), bras that fit, being able to sit in a hot jacuzzi or in a super hot bath, not having to pee 5 minutes after leaving the house, being able to drink a bunch of water bottles without feeling like my bladder will explode...but even though I miss all of these things I still am in love with our little girl and all of this is temporary!

Movement:  She moves all of the time, she likes to dance on my bladder and then randomly kick it as hard as she can. Little trouble maker already. It is funny when she decides to move to one side on my tummy leaving me with a lopsided, egg-shaped tummy, she moves when I am lying down on my back, when I have something sugary, when I am about to eat/am eating...basically she is always moving!

Dr. update: Next appointment is coming up soon!

Exercise: Still at it every day!

Stretch marks: Possibly on my boobs seeing that they have tripled in size, but I can't tell if they're old or not...no stretch marks on my legs, back, or tummy so that is good news so far!

Swelling: My face in the morning if I eat a dinner that was kind of salty. I just have to make sure to up my water intake, but it is so hard when you have to pee all of the time!

Maternity clothes: None yet!

Labor signs: Nope!

What I am loving: How quickly it is going by until we get to meet her. It is scary how quickly it is going by, but also extremely exciting. She definitely has her fair share of growing still to do, but we just can't wait to meet you little one. I love when Zack randomly grabs my belly and says hi to her. He loves her so much already, I can't wait to see them together.

Best moment of this week: All weeks are exciting and something new happens all the time. It has just been exciting having other people feel her kick like my brothers and just being around people excited to meet her. My favorite times are when Zack and I are relaxing and just laying down watching TV and she goes on a kicking spree with his hands just resting on my tummy. That is always the best feeling knowing that he can feel her kick. It is so real for us moms because we have this little person with us at all times and we know they are there it is nice when the little babes include the daddies with their little love kicks.
